Employment Locum
A Local Authority in the Midlands requires an Employment Locum to join their team for a minimum of three months with the strong possibility of being extended beyond this initial period.
Duties and experience required:
- A detailed knowledge of all aspects of employment law including experience of advising clients on discrimination issues and TUPE
- Conducting and advising on equal pay claims
- Providing specialist advice on employment law matters both contentious and non-contentious including advice on complex and sensitive cases
- Conducting own advocacy before the Employment Tribunal on discrimination issues including TUPE and unfair dismissal
- To comply with and actively promote the Council's policies, including those on Race Relations, Equal Opportunities, Harassment and Customer Care
- Providing advice and guidance on matters concerning decision-making and corporate governance
Applicants must be qualified either as a Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive.
