Our client a world leader in B2B Data Marketing requires a Marketing Executive. The Marketing Assistant will assist the Senior Marketing Manager EMEA in daily marketing activities covering all products and activities within the EMEA region.

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The European Marketing Manager will assist in defining the marketing strategy and will be responsible for the execution of the marketing plan, focusing on delivery of leads for the European sales team. The position also covers the responsibility for defining value propositions and communicating those to the market. Management of our websites, the marketing database, creation of collateral for the company products and solution sets are also part of the role

The role reports into the Managing Director of the European Data Solution Business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

Develop the annual European Marketing plan for the business
Execute online and offline marketing campaigns in cooperation with campaign planners
Monitor and analyze marketing program performance against lead forecasts and against past performance and make and implement recommendations for optimization
Develop the European Data Solution brands
Define and execute launch campaigns for new releases and new products/solutions alongside the product and solution roadmap
Responsibility for collateral and the development of sales kits for products and solutions marketed (sales presentations, solution fact sheets, references and case studies)
Optimize Websites - Google adds and improve Google ranking
Responsible for managing the marketing database and ensuring that all marketing activity and leads are tracked in the system
Event planning
Manage competitor analysis and market research in order to identify market requirements for current and future products/solutions
Ensure internal communication about all marketing aspects
Engage regularly with the local sales teams to understand market trends
Cooperation with other units within the business
Manage relationships with PR agency and DM organizations
Person Specification

Candidates need to demonstrate the following:-

A minimum of three years B2B marketing experience, ideally within a direct marketing or data provider, international Experience and ideally speaking English and French

Marketing Graduate

Strong interpersonal capabilities, ability to develop strong trust-based relationships

Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.

Ability to plan and organise time effectively

Able to work to tight deadlines with a 'can-do’ approach to problem solving

Positive attitude and articulate

Writing and copy editing skills are important — particularly as it relates to email and web copy.

Creative, innovative, proactive, and resourceful.

Strong project management experience.

Must be entrepreneurial — interest and willingness to roll-up sleeves and provide hands-on execution of proposals required. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and deliver under pressure with limited time and resources.

Experience of working with PR agencies and teams to produce press releases, strengthen media relations, etc.

Proficient in MS Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Experience with Adobe Dreamweaver or similar HTML editing software

As part of the Specialist and Activity sector within the TUI Group, World Challenge provides educational expeditions for school groups.  We offer the opportunity for over 400 groups to enter into a programme of learning and development; fundraising; and team building, culminating in a 1-6 week Expedition to one of our exciting destinations in the developing world.
Driving the operations of our business is our planning department, responsible for delivering high quality, risk assessed expedition itineraries to some 50 destinations.  Our planning department has undergone an exciting transformation, now working as Continent teams with in-depth specialist knowledge of and commercial responsibility for the destinations in their portfolio. 
Our Planning Department is now looking for a specialist in our Continental Asia team, with particular experience of India and Sri Lanka, to join them as an Expedition Planning Manager.
What You'll Be Doing
Working from our offices in High Wycombe and using your specialist knowledge, you’ll plan each expedition to your portfolio of destinations, within budget and to strict safety standards.  Your aim will be to ensure our young challengers experience an awe-inspiring range of community project work, trekking and cultural adventure.  
As an accomplished communicator, you will liaise with in-country agents and build and maintain a supplier network, negotiating costs and ensuring standards are met.  As the destination specialist for your portfolio, you will provide briefings to colleagues. 
 What You’ll Be Doing
• To develop, plan, organise, risk assess and manage safe overseas expeditions to the countries each Expedition Planning Manager (EPM) has responsibility for.
• To do the above with input from all relevant stakeholders (School Leaders, Students, Commercial team).
• Creating itineraries and budgets for teams travelling to the countries managed by the EPM.
• Preparing for and delivering presentations at Expedition Preparation Conferences to deliver key safety and logistical information to leaders.
• Sourcing, researching and organising projects, treks, transportation, other logistics and rest and relaxation activities for each expedition – all planning must be compliant with company policies and safety standards. 
• Liaising with In-country Agents (ICAs) and in country contacts (for example, trekking companies and project coordinators).
• Conducting high quality country specific risk assessments.
• Organising, undertaking and reporting on overseas recces (research trips) to managed destinations, as required.
• Update country literature as required (risk assessments, destination briefs, crib sheets etc.).
• Project managing all aspects of the expeditions for both UK teams and International businesses, which operate on different systems and timelines.
• Majority of admin tasks are completed by the EPM.
What We're Looking For
• As a destination specialist, you will have experience or knowledge of Sri Lanka and India, in particular Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Kerala.  You’ll be motivated by your commitment to your destination and the delivery of quality expeditions and be able to demonstrate effective project management and proactive problem solving skills.
• Comfortable presenting to large groups and able to manage a budget, you’ll be positive, flexible and possess a meticulous eye for detail.  An excellent communicator, you’ll share our passion for outdoor education and adventure travel.
• Being able to think on your feet – dealing with in country problems such as projects falling through (either prior to expedition on whilst teams are on expedition), treks (too hard, teams unable to undertake) changes to budget, natural disasters in country and handling the situation efficiently should teams need to be diverted.
• Dealing with capacity issues and back to back itineraries.
• Ensuring schools receive the level of service that was promised at the point of sale.
• Have to refer major in country safety issues to the Head of Operations and Safety and Technical Team.
• Ability to problem solve and manage team expectations versus on the ground realities including trek options, project options, working with ICAs and in country contacts and managing developing countries effectively. This is particularly the case during the summer.
• Must be willing to travel independently and on a budget in developing countries.

You will also compose capital expenditure justifications for acquisition of equipment to support emerging and existing technologies, train your associates, access tooling requirements for new programmes for the robust and efficient methods of manufacture and finally approach vendors for quotations and produce tooling to meet budget.

Candidates for this role will be effective communicators able to liaise with business functions and dependencies, have excellent time management skills, be IT literate being able to generate and analyse data to establish trends and propose data driven solutions. The successful candidate will be a Lean Practitioner with experience of Six Sigma process control and have practical engineering experience within a high technology environment with exacting quality requirements.
