Accountable to the Quality Manager.
Responsibilities include:
* Support QM regarding Customer / Supplier liaison on all technical aspects for new and existing products.
* Contract review / APQP - technical involvement.
* Compilation of control plan and supporting documentation for customer requirements and production manufacture using CAD & Excel software.
* Maintenance of initial and subsequent revisions of technical files and records
* Review / action in-house change requests.
* Generation of special gauge / fixture drawings for inspection verification.
* Generation and control of special tool drawings for manufacturing needs.
* Production support re. Documentation / drawing generation of special fixtures required for in house manufacture.
* Support in conducting internal audits.
Following ideal, not essential:
* CNC programming, Tool sheet generation, cycle time estimation & adherence and tooling planning & procurement - TO BE CONFIRMED
Note: Previous experience in an engineering turned parts environment is beneficial together with knowledge of ISO/TS 16949.

This role if for an experienced Press Operator to cover a long term sick leave. This will be a initial 6 weeks with a view on extending the temporary contract.
This position reports to Forge Production Supervisor and is an integral part of the Alloy Forge Department with responsibility for pressing operations.
Deliverables
Assist on aerospace components and pressing operations
Support in loading of furnaces
To provide support manufacturing operations at press head
To cover other ad-hoc duties as and when required
To follow Alloy Forges processes / procedures
Meet the company standards of performance
Candidate Portfolio
Preferably have a manufacturing qualification ie quality programmes; lean manufacturing; six sigma, TPM, SPC
Previous experience in working for manufacturing industry is essential
Has a ‘can do’ attitude
Preferably hot forge work experience
Must be flexible to work different shift pattern
Able to communicate effectively both verbally and written
Have a Fork Lift Truck Licence and Crane Licence, but not essential
Able to work towards deadlines

Rail sector would be preferred but it wouldn’t be problematic if your experience only had general building or civils experience as it is drainage works.
