An exciting post has arisen for an enthusiastic, energetic and inspirational Director of Learning to oversee the Maths and ICT.
Directors of Learning are key leaders within the Academy and the role carries significant leadership and management responsibilities. It is essential that the ethos within the department is reflective of that of the Academy as a whole and this will be a major part of the role. Areas of responsibility within the department include vision for the development of outstanding learning and teaching, related strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation, behaviour for learning, resources, the learning environment, performance management, data management and intervention, fearlessly tackling underperformance, reporting and contributing to assemblies.
This position will involves leadership of intervention and progression. The successful candidate will become a vital member for the Academy to provide strategic leadership and management of learning and teaching within the Maths and ICT department and for the specialism across the Academy and its community, ensuring that high standards are maintained to ensure every student reaches their potential. You will be required to develop the Maths /ICT department as a centre of excellence, ensuring the specialism has a significant impact on student progress, the profile and ethos of the Academy.
