As a Management Accountant your duties will include:

• Being a part of the senior management team and providing the financial expertise to the business.
• Managing and controlling the company’s financial system to ensure the production of meaningful and timely management information.
• Designing or modifying and implementation of appropriate financial systems and procedures to ensure effective control.
• Providing financial information, analysis and support both internally to senior management team and CEO, the Board and externally to stakeholders for operational and strategic management and decision making.

• Utilising benchmarking metrics, to support decision making, where appropriate.
• Working with the management team to produce the Business Plan; production of the overall company operational budget, re-forecasts and analysis to ensure its accuracy and level of prudence.
• Informing key strategic decisions and formulating business strategies.
• Advising on the financial implications and consequences of business decisions.
• Analysing financial performance and so contributing to medium and long-term business planning/forecasts.
• Monthly review and consolidation of the management accounts.
• Monthly preparation of operational management reporting packs and annual Tax Packs.

An ideal Management Accountant will hold the following skills and experience:

• Excellent team working skills and flexibility in approach to work.
• Fully Qualified Accountant from a recognised Accountancy body (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
• Good oral and written communication skills, ability to put complex financial issues into layman’s terms for non-specialist audiences.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with experience of working with senior colleagues and able to influence effectively.
• Experience of working to tight deadlines, ability to work well under pressure and to be able to prioritise a heavy workload.
• Able to understand new situations and information quickly, and interpret, challenge appropriately.
• Proven track record of delivery as a MA working in a finance role within a competitive commercial environment.
• Working experience of corporate financial systems is essential.
• Ability to use initiative and adaptation to provide management information on an ad-hoc basis.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Experience in dealing with external parties i.e. auditors.
• Able to demonstrate ability to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy of reporting.
• Excellent understanding of double entry book-keeping.
• Preparation of Financial Statements.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel.
• Ability to meet targets both individually and as a team.

In return you will receive a salary of up to £45,000 per annum.
