Leading Global group are looking for an experienced Financial Accountant on a 10 month contract,
This position sits within a large UK finance team, maintaining and accounting for sales & marketing activities and overhead costs in a multi-currency environment, and for multiple companies within the group. The role has three direct reports and is part of a team who work collaboratively to ensure that reporting deadlines are achieved. Specific responsibilities include, month end reporting, statutory reporting, vat, forecasting, analysis of specific projects, costings and plans.

It is critical that you have management experience, possess an accounting qualification and ideally multi currency experience.

This is a fast paced international business with a strong brand and profile.

Role

Primarily responsible for all aspects of Manpower monitoring and control on a major technical engineering project including; development and maintenance of approval process; tracking of man-hours and costs against forecast; development of forecasting and reporting models; implementing a rigorous system for monitoring bookings against contract variations; providing input to the man-hour billings process.

Role will expand to include other cost control, analytical and reporting tasks, and month end processes to ensure cover for other team members on the project.

Experience/Requirements:

Combined technical and commercial education

PC-literate,expert knowledge in Excel and knowledgeable in SAP

Experience of manpower monitoring and control within a major projects environment

Focussed, logical thinker, flexible and a good team player

Well organized and able to meet strict deadlines

Very good eye for details, being able to analyse a large quantity of data into a presentable
format to internal management and the client
