Winding Supervisor

As part of our continued and impressive growth, we are currently recruiting for a Winding Supervisor who will be based at our site in Birmingham. You will be responsible for supervising work performed by the rewind department which specifically involves the rewinding and testing of various kinds of electro-mechanical equipment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Rewind various kinds of electro-mechanical equipment
Direct or provide on-the-job training for the team within the department
Requisition supplies for the department
Test manufacturers' materials for suitability and serviceability
Requisition equipment and tools for the department through the Works Manager
Complete all repair quotes for repair times
Check all repair data gathered by team members
Schedule and prioritise all work to be performed by Rewind Department
Help supervised employees understand and observe company rules and regulations, including proper safety procedures.
Observe all safety procedures and use proper protective gear
Perform other skilled or non-skilled duties as directed by the Works Manager

TECHNICAL BACKGROUND:

Basic mechanical aptitude
Stripping and rewinding of AC/DC motors and other electro-mechanical equipment, including high voltage equipment

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Formal apprenticeship in electrical motor rewinding (single phase, three phase and dc)

RELATED EXPERIENCE

Previous experience of dismantling, rewinding, assembling and testing of electro-mechanical equipment
Previous supervisory experience

Field Care Supervisor We are now seeking 'Full Time Field Care Supervisors' (40hrs monthly for your senior duties as directed by your line manager) who will show warmth and support to our clients and their families; helping them to promote independence and dignity and positively enhancing their lives in our care within their homes. To ensure all documentation required in the service user's homes is both in place and accurately completed. To undertake 28 day quality assurance reviews as directed by the Branch Manager. To monitor the delivery of services as directed by the Branch Manager. To attend Service User reviews to ensure that services are being delivered in line with support and care plans. To take part in the induction/work shadowing of Home care Support workers as directed by the Branch Manager, ensuring that the work shadowing documentation are fully completed. To actively participate in the "on the job supervision" and spot checking of Home Care support workers as directed by the Branch Manager, ensuring that the necessary documentation is fully completed at all times. To provide the necessary support and mentoring for Home Care Support workers. To undertake field based training with the Home Care Support Workers ensuring that they are working within their competency level and the company standards. To assess Home Care Support workers against the Skills for Care Common Induction Standards through work shadowing sessions.
