Senior Software Developer

My Client develops software enabled leading edge test & measurement products that test network equipment to the latest telecoms standards for the vital Oil and Gas Industry

Their Engineers work in multi-discipline product development teams that include software and hardware design and system test. The teams work closely with marketing and sales, turning market and customer requirements into high quality, fully functional products.


Key Responsibilities:
· Working with marketing to clarify and turn user requirements into UI and software designs.
· Estimating timescales based on an outline of the implementation and developing and delivering quality software to those timescales.
· Contributing to the architectural development and evolution of the software to keep it flexible and maintainable as market requirements evolve.
· Support quality oriented activities necessary to deliver a product that will delight our customers.
· Learn the domain and hence appreciate the real life use cases of the product features.
Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
· Educated to Degree level in Computer Science or an equivalent subject
· At least five years experience of application software development using a minimum of two of: C#/.NET, WPF, Windows Forms, C++, UML
· Experience employing OO techniques and Real Time methods.
· Previous contributor to software architectures and user interfaces.
· Ability to work closely with others in a multi-discipline team.
· Demonstrated ability to respond to tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Electrical Supervisor – Livingston – £31k plus vehicle & benefits
We are currently looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join a leading Facilities Management client to provide engineering support to mobile operations across various locations. Your main duties will include:
• Management of building, engineering and office services as outlined in the Service Level Agreement
• Supervision of the services as outlined within the Roles and Responsibilities document
• Liaison with DC management team and Senior Site Management on all building and engineering service related issues
• Maintaining the correct level of engineering staff and emergency cover for all sites
• Monitoring and control of quotations to give engineering value and best practise
• Facilitate compliance of all statutory engineering
• Supervision of the building services team
• Abide and promote the organisations Health & Safety policy
• Input into the monthly Data Centre report
• Support for the National Technical Manager

The ideal candidate will be:
• A fully indentured Electrical Engineer (C&G) SVQ3
• Multi skilled in either Combustion or Refrigeration
• IEE 17th Edition wiring regulations (C&G 2381/2382)
• Inspection & Testing of Electrical Installations (C&G 2391)
• HV Authorised Person (AP)
• Full Driving License
• IPAF & PASMA
• IOSH Health & Safety or equivalent
• Proven Supervision of Engineering Teams in Critical Environments
