The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate sound finance/resources management and effective fulfilment of regulatory finance requirements and have a strong track record in providing support in a large, multi departmental organisation. You will also have the ability to make sound judgements which balance commercial realities and manage risk.

You will demonstrate the ability to build and maintain strong and successful relationships with internal and external customers and team members and staff from other others of the business.

Finance Manager - Financial Accounts

In particular, the role will be responsible for the production of all legal entity annual statutory and monthly/quarterly management accounts. The role will also be responsible for Leaseholder and other joint venture/partnership accounts, control account production and all other reconciliations. The Finance Manager – Financial Accounts will work in partnership with the Head of Financial Control and finance management team.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a sound finance/resources management and effective fulfillment regulatory finance requirement together with knowledge of the latest Accounting Standards, including IFRS and application to the social housing sector.

You will have demonstrable experience of leadership and development of a small team of finance professionals together and be able to build and maintain strong and successful relationships with internal and external customers and team members and staff from other others of the business.

You will be a fully qualified member of a recognised accounting body is ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, who has the latest knowledge of Account Standards and application to the social housing sector.

The successful candidate will have experience of preparing capital project cash forecasts and cash flow analysis. It is essential that you are either part or a fully qualified member of a recognised accounting body, ie ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA with a strong track record in providing financial support in a social housing sector organisation. You must be able to make sound judgements which balance commercial realities and manage risk together with experience of developing and delivering treasury reporting.

You will have extensive experience of developing and maintaining short and long term cash flow forecasts and managing complex banking relationships.

The role; We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Finance Manager to join our busy finance team at our head office in Warrington. The Finance Manager will lead the Financial Planning and Analysis team within the group finance function providing budgets, analysis, M&A and strategic project support.

Key Responsibilities:
• Leading the consolidated group budgeting and forecasting processes - P&L, B/S & Cash flow; providing variance analysis throughout the year.

We are looking for a Finance Manager with the following skills and experience;
• Qualified Accountant ACA.
• Experience of M&A desirable but not essential.
• Must have commercial experience, preparing management accounts, budgets & business support.
• Strong and experienced people manager.
• An eye for detail, accuracy and presentation is essential.
• As is the ability to review decisions, analysis and demonstrate critical thinking in the bigger picture.
• Experience of influencing and communicating effectively with senior managers, directors and advisor's.
• Ability to make and be accountable for decisions.
• Capable of working with and developing operational financial models.
• A positive outlook with a can-do attitude, willing to embrace change, new challenges & strive for continuous improvement will be essential to succeed in the role.
