A leading water company based in Cardiff is looking to recruit a Finance Manager on a 6 month contract basis in order to cover the day to day finance work whilst they undertake a project implementation across the organisation.

The key to this role is a candidate who is able to provide Financial Management direction, support and advice for the Programme and assist the Programme Management Office with the administration of the commercial arrangements with the Programme’s suppliers.

On a day to day basis you will be responsible for:

1. Providing Programme Management Team with timely and accurate reports of programme expenditure
2. Providing financial management support and direction to the Programme Leads
3. Financial Management control over programme costs as required to support the Project Management Office objectives
4. To provide support to the Project Management Officer as required in the financial area
5. Quality management overview of supplier work orders and additional service order documentation.
6. Financial Management control over daily, weekly and monthly project expenditure, including reconciliation against formal budget approvals
7. Financial Management control over accurate processing invoices, purchase orders and value orders on SAP, including the management of blocked and parked invoices
8. Liaise with Business Information Services team

The successful candidate will ideally be a qualified accountant who has experience working in a commercial finance role where they have had to provide financial support to various non-finance leads. Any experience of SAP will be beneficial and you must be strong on Excel. Experience working in a project based environment is extremely beneficial. You should be immediately available or on short notice in order to be considered for this role.
