Our Client has been established for almost thirty years as a specialist consultancy company for the treatment of water for steam boilers, closed systems and cooling towers. Offering water treatment services to UK and overseas organisations, the client has become one of the leading companies in the field of water treatment.

Due to expansion the client is seeking to recruit an experienced Plant/Equipment Engineer to join their team in the West Midlands. The main tasks involve routine and emergency visits to equipment at customer sites.

Successful candidates will have experience in the following
Water softeners
Singe and two stage reverse osmosis plant
Demineraliser units
Organic scavengers and traps
Mixed bed de-ionisers
Interconnecting tanks, transfer pumps sets, controls centres etc.

You will be involved in Installation/troubleshooting of onsite equipment e.g. pumps, probes and meters. You will have onsite management and liaison with project managers and customers, organizing service visits, authoring reports and ensuring all relevant documentation is in order

Candidates will have knowledge of plumbing / electrics and will have the ability to work on own initiative and confidence in dealing with customers.

This role is focused on creation and execution of equipment and installation solutions for their customers. The Project Engineer will primarily be responsible for delivering and supporting projects at their customer's facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
Scoping, designing, estimating, quoting and managing of small to medium sized (£5k - £1m) water treatment system projects (Cooling and Boiler Applications, Waste
Working with and leading sales representatives, customers, subcontractors and other stakeholders from project discovery and scoping to ultimate commissioning and handover.
Site inspection and surveying in conjunction with sales personnel or directly with end customer (in consultation with sales representative)
Supervise and complete Process, Mechanical and Electrical design phase
Understanding and articulating technology requirements (chemical and non-chemical) to customers and Sales representatives and supporting the sales process
Advocating sustainable solutions to reduce environmental impact, improve efficiencies, and/or reduce cost of operation across a wide variety of industries and customers.
Complete project management responsibility including change order capture
Cost, timeline and scope management control to ensure profitable, on time and successful projects
Extensive travel within UK managing multiple projects with different customers
Support technical training of sales staff in conjunction with sales district management

QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate degree in Chemistry, Electrical, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
Familiarity of DBI (Design, Build, Install) projects
Previous experience with AutoCAD and PLC software
Previous experience in a similar project delivery function
Design and operational understanding of water treatment technologies, including waste water applications, pre-treatment plants, Reverse Osmosis systems, filtration, feed / dosing and control systems
Strong customer focus and communication skills
Project management and personnel management skills

The role will involve:
-Undertaking monitoring and maintenance of building water services as part of a Legionella Control Program in accordance with ACoP L8
-Monitoring inspections will involve temperature testing of water outlets, TMVs, inspection of cold water storage tanks and hot water storage vessels, water sample collection and shower head disinfection
-Servicing of TMVs water softeners, water conditions, pressure vessels, CWST disinfections and HWSV de-scaling
-Working in a multi-site capacity
