My client, who are a leading Building Services Consultancy, are currently looking for a Vertical Transportation Engineer to work within their Vertical Transportation Department in London.

This role will require the successful candidate to provide Technical Management and Consultancy on Vertical Transportation systems including lifts, escalators, moving walkways and cradles. This role will also involve conducting audits and inspection of Vertical Transportation equipment as well as reporting on technical contractual and regulatory compliance.

Suitable candidates for this role will be highly technical, must have the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and must have a clear and concise reporting style.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

*BEng or BSc in Vertical Transportation Engineering
*CEng Chartered Building Service Engineers - MCIBSE or ACIBSE

KEY Responsibilities:

*Management of the Vertical Transportation services maintenance provider and the overall service delivery to the client
*Management of Vertical Transportation Services Contract/Contractor
*Management of Project Works (Small Repairs & Refurbishments)
*Conduct audits and assessments of Vertical Transportation equipment (lifts, escalators, cradles, BMUs)
*Provide reports from audits of Vertical Transportation equipment
*Review and advise on Contractor quotations and Contractor reports
*Communicate and chair meetings with Clients/Managing Agents
*Provide technical advice and assistance to clients on technical queries
*Prepare, issue and review contracts and tender documents / specifications.
*Review and advise on Statutory Examination Reports
*Advise client on compliance with current regulations, British Standards and Statutory obligations
*Advise on plant replacement programmes, budget requirements and prioritise key elements

Suitable candidates will ideally be apprenticeship trained and will ideally come from a consultancy, central/local government or maintenance contractor background.

Suitable candidates must also have an intermediate understanding of working with AutoCAD, MS Word, Project and Excel as well as experience working with Elevation Specialist Software.
