As a nation-wide provider of refrigeration, mechanical, electrical and other core building services we are currently looking for a Service Controller to join our team based in Liverpool offering a salary of up to £15,500 pa.
This is a newly created role and the successful candidate will be responsible for allocating work to engineers within your allocated region in an efficient manner.
Your role will be made up of:
• Allocate calls to engineers in accordance with the Service level agreements across the client base within allocated region
• Follow customer requirements in order to ensure chargeable work can be conducted i.e. ensure quoted works raised to appropriate personnel for authorisation
• Keep the Service Administration Manager informed of any calls that are at risk of failing their SLA before 50% of their time has expired.
• Maintain acceptable level of backlog / open calls - Quantity / Age
• Consistently monitor and plan engineer workload for all open calls to progress to completion
• Ensure the customer is kept informed of job progress and attempt to resolve issues in a proactive manner
• Be knowledgeable of client and engineer locations within allocated area to ensure that the allocation of calls is the most effective
• Generate reports as required for both internal and external customers
• Support and update 3rd party systems as necessary
The ideal Service Controller will have the following skills and experiences:
• Have previous experience of working within a service based organisation
• Be computer literate
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Excellent customer service skills
In return you will receive a salary of up to £15,500 pa, 25 days holiday plus statutory

The Role
Reporting to the Division Manager based in Worcester, West Midlands, there is now a requirement for a Service Technician to join their team based in the North West region.
You will be responsible for the servicing and warranty repairs on cooling towers throughout the region. In addition to this task you will be required to support SPX Products, by looking for new business opportunities during the commissioning and elsewhere. You will be required to carry out inspections of existing customers equipment and issue reports from which quotes can be based.
Primary Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
· Servicing / cleaning and installation of new factory assembled cooling equipment.
· Surveying customers’ installations and recommending improvements.
· Supporting F.A.P sales with visits to assist with installation and assembly.
· Assisting sales personnel with information required for quotes.
· Ensuring your work is carried out in accordance with the latest Health & Safety guidelines.
· Taking part in inter-departmental training programs.
You will be travelling between sites on a daily basis and a company vehicle will be provided. Some out of hours, weekend or shift-work may also be required.

To be successful in this role, you will need to posses excellent English skills - both written and oral. As an SPX employee, you should also be interested in personal and professional development. Candidates should have a formal engineering qualification and at least five years experience in a similar position.
