Analyst/Associate - Real Estate - London Our client is a global investor and asset manager, specialising in investment and value-add ownership assets throughout Europe. They are currently looking for someone to join their rapidly expanding team to facilitate and support their appetite for rapid expansion into key European markets.
The Role will include, but not be limited to, the following responsibilities:
* Reviewing and auditing cash flow projections generated by the parent organisation's acquisitions team, including generating a separate forecasts to represent the firm's base case underwriting for purposes of comparison with the acquisition pro-forma.
* Conducting market due diligence, including the collection of; comparable lease and sales transactions and any other appropriate market information.
* Maintaining a large portfolio of Argus files that require periodic updates for executed leases, changes in market leasing assumptions, and adjustments to operating expenses, capital disturbances and other income.
* Supporting the monthly reporting process, including; operation metrics, variance reporting, cash forecasting, capital management and leases pipeline review.
* Assisting in the annual budget and quarterly reforecasting processes, involving; planning, supporting budgeting and forecasting tools, determining financial goals and related guidance, communicating process and guidance to teams in the field, and reporting on results to field teams and senior management.
* Identifying and highlighting key operating trends and assisting in the preparation of monthly financial operating results commentary for senior management.
* Developing relationships with regional asset managers and leasing agents, including; attending budget and leasing meetings to familiarise with all aspects of assigned properties.
* Performing property valuations and lease analyses on an as need basis.
* Performing special ad-hoc projects and analyses as assigned by senior management.
The Person; the ideal candidate will possess an undergraduate degree within business, finance or accounting with an additional 2-3 years’ experience working within the real estate market. Due to the nature of the role, a strong knowledge of finance or accounting is required, with experience using the Argus software package being beneficial.
