SALARY: to £55k
Project Manager with a strong background in managing software/application development projects ideally within the insurance industry is required by our client a leading IT Services provider to join a high profile client based in Kent.
To be considered for the software Project Manager role you will be degree qualified (or equivalent) with previous project management experience with proven track record of delivery in medium sized projects. You will be accredited at foundation level and making progress towards/have attained practitioner level (e.g. Prince2 practitioner, ITEL, ISEB, APMP) and have a good awareness of Project Management disciplines.
This will be complemented with experience of budget management, a proven decision making ability and the ability to manage and develop people effectively. Naturally you will have good communication & influencing skills combined with an awareness of market trends in Insurance & the IT industry and a good understanding of end to end IT delivery lifecycle.
Experience gained within an on/off shore model working for an IT Services company would also be bonus.
A competitive salary of up to £55 is offered in addition to other benefits.

We are searching for an experienced Project Manager with a background in ISP or network equipment to manage the deployment of all our client’s products and services to customers, in partnership with the account team, the customer project manager and Pre-sales consultant.
The role will include but not be limited to:
• Manage the successful on-time and on-budget build, installation and integration within customer networks.
• Effectively lead a small technical team for each customer deployment project.
• Provide support for Pre-Sales presentations about implementation projects and input for trial and live deployment proposals.
• Liaise with Pre-Sales consultants to initiate new trial and live deployments and to transfer project responsibility to Operations.
• Completion of deployment details checklist, with account team and customer.
• Manage customer trial deployments (build and lab test, installation, configuration and support for customer testing).
• Manage live customer deployment projects (build, installation, configuration, customisation, acceptance test and handover to support).
• Manage additional client deliveries as required (e.g. upgrades, migration, custom functionality or reporting).
• Hold regular progress reviews for each project with the customer and project managers.
• Follow-up and ensure closure of outstanding project and technical actions.
• Liaise with Pre-Sales consultants to document new feature requests from customers.
• Create and maintain project documentation.
• Produce regular progress reports for the project team and Delivery Director.
• Provide informal education.
• Ensure that best-practices are followed for all deployment projects.
• Maintain a library of standard methods for implementation projects.
We are searching for a candidate with the following profile:
• Previous experience in a Technical Project Management position, ideally in an ISP or network equipment supplier.
• Able to travel internationally at short notice.
• Good knowledge of project management tools and methods.
• Good knowledge of enterprise-class IP infrastructure - routers/switches/firewalls.
• Experience of web-based services.
• Highly computer literate.
• Confident in MS Office applications (particularly Outlook, Excel and Project).
• Any of the following will be pluses:
• Knowledge of Content Delivery Networks.
• Experience of managing international IP infrastructure deployments.
• Knowledge of networking equipment administration.
• Experience of network management using SNMP.
• Methodological, consistent approach - especially under pressure.
