Our client is an international humanitarian relief & development agency looking to employ a professional individual who will be highly committed to their mission, vision and values:
Their family programme is a one-to-one child sponsorship programme supporting orphan and needy children in parts of the World’s poorest communities. Working in 17 countries through field offices and partner organizations the programme is currently supporting over 3,500 children with more children waiting for support. The programme is being developed further to implement community based projects.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing and developing a team of 5 people whilst ensuring the effective management of the family programme through the implementation of the programme strategy and work plans.
- You will have budget responsibility of all projects and ensure financial compliance of projects in the field and partner level.
- You will also work with the head of emergencies and special programmes to ensure cohesion between regional and organisational objectives.
Qualifications:
- You must be educated to degree level and have experience in developing and managing a developmental programme funded by individual donors and institutional donors.
- You will have proven experience in managing and developing people and the ability to motivate others effectively.
- Strong monitoring and evaluation skills are required along with budget management skills.
- Essential to this role is knowledge of humanitarian aid standards and detailed knowledge of the project life cycle.
- Previous experience of managing a child sponsorship programme is desirable.
