Grafton Banks Finance is currently recruiting for a Procurement Manager for a reputable organisation based in the Reigate area. Reporting to the Head of Purchasing, this position requires someone who can provide a professional and efficient service to the company's departments in the provision of procurement support and advice. You will be the main point of contact for a number of specific departments across the business, liaising with senior managers in both financial and non-financial areas.
Some of the key responsibilities for this role include:
* Act as the procurement representative on a number of business-driven projects, including, where applicable: advising on and executing supplier sourcing strategy; tender production and management; price and contract negotiation.
* Liaise with certain heads of department to discuss significant areas of spend and to seek to apply best practice in sourcing and negotiating/re-negotiating best price and terms and conditions
* Perform analysis of procurement spend to identify opportunities for savings in expenses and in claims related expenditure
* Work with the Procurement team and specific business areas to implement and roll-out vendor management best practice
* Review contracts and supplier relationships on a regular basis.
The successful candidate will possess significant procurement experience across a range of commodities, whereby specialist procurement experience within a specific area such as IT or Marketing, will prove to be extremely advantageous. A demonstrable track record of delivering procurement solutions and savings with experience of handling large business critical contracts is required, together with strong negotiation and communication skills. Good numerical, analysis and manipulation skills are therefore also imperative coupled with the ability to influence and communicate at all levels within the organisation.
