My client school is seeking to employ a talented and high achieving Maths graduate to work as a Graduate Teaching Assistant on a full-time basis within their Maths Department for the forthcoming academic year.
Based in South Bristol, the academy is smaller than the average-sized 11-16 secondary school that currently has 900 pupils on roll. Most students are of White British heritage and almost all speak English as their first language. The proportion of pupils eligible for the pupil premium is slightly above that found nationally as is the proportion of school action pupils (those who require extra help with their learning). The proportion of students supported by school action plus or who have a statement of special educational needs is below average.
The Head Teacher is keen to appoint an ambitious and talented Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant from September. The successful applicant will:
-be a talented and hardworking graduate in Mathematics (1st class or 2:1)
-be confident, patient and adaptable with a sense of humour
-demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively to staff and pupils alike
