The competition for work upon leaving University was fierce and I found myself unprepared for the vigorous interviews. Having worked with Hays for one term I undertook several day to day assignments and my confidence grew dramatically. Hays secured a role for me from Christmas at a school I would’t have even thought of applying to.”

Are you an English NQT for a permanent position from September 2013 where you can complete your induction year?
Do you have a passion for your subject and have you demonstrated this on your teacher training placements?
Are you interested in working within an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted 2012 Secondary School?
If you are currently undertaking an English PGCE and you want to find an English NQT post from September 2013, Edustaff may have the perfect school for you…!
***English NQT
***’Outstanding’ Ofsted 2011 School
***Permanent post from September 2013
***North Birmingham
***MPS pay scale
***81% of students received A*-C in English in 2012
Edustaff are working with a client 11-18 secondary school found within a beautiful area of Birmingham, who are looking for an outstanding English NQT to join their ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted 2011 school. The successful English NQT will be an excellent classroom practitioner with ambition to move quickly to the next level in their career progression.
This is a full time and permanent English Teacher position, due to commence in September 2013.
My client secondary school is an ‘Outstanding’ school. In 2011 Ofsted commented that the schools work was ‘exemplary’. It is the school of choice in the Birmingham area and is one the most oversubscribed schools in the West Midlands area. Student attitudes, behaviour and academic standards are outstanding.
The school is in the top 10 of all schools nationally for value added, a position it has maintained over the previous four years. They have a rapidly growing 6th form and are expanding the main school.
Drive and passion will be essential prerequisites for a successful English NQT. You will be required to teach English across the Key Stages, including A-Level. Experience of teaching A-Level is not essential as my client offers an exclusive training programme which will help you flourish within your role. However passion and determination will be a vital trait of the successful English NQT.
My client has confirmed you will be appoint a mentor to support and assist you through the completion of you NQT induction year.
All students make outstanding progress in Key Stage 4 and leave Year 11 with excellent results at GCSE. In 2012, 86% of the students left school with five or more GCSEs at grade A* to C and all students left school with at least three passes at GCSE. In 2012’s GCSE examinations 88% of pupils received an A*-C grade in English.
My client is a mixed 11-18 secondary school with approximately 1200 students on role. The school occupies a large site which has had new building work and inclusive ICT suites over the last 2 years.
In late 2011 the school Ofsted judged the school as ‘Outstanding’ for its overall effectiveness. Teaching and behaviour were deemed excellent. The Headteacher and the Senior Management team have been noted for their dedication to motivate students and pupils alike.
The school is located in North Birmingham and can be found with several means of public transport being located near it. Buses run at regular times and the train station is a short walk away. The school will offer the successful English NQT onsite care parking should you drive.
This is an exciting opportunity for an excellent English NQT, wanting to work at an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted Secondary School, from September 2013 on a permanent basis.
To apply for this position please send your CV and covering letter to Alfie at Edustaff today!

Are you a Mathematics NQT looking for an exhilarating and permanent position from September 2013 and the opportunity to complete your induction year?
Can you teach the Mathematics curriculum across the key stages, providing your students with quality and stimulating lessons?
Would you like to work at a high achieving secondary school, based in the desirable area of Solihull?
***Mathematics NQT
***Permanent position starting September 2013
***MPS pay scale
***High achieving secondary school found within Solihull – ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted 2012
***Well resourced Mathematics department with excellent support
***93% of pupils A*-C grades in GCSE
***89% of pupils passed with an A*-C
A well maintained and superbly resourced, mixed comprehensive secondary school based in the desirable area of Solihull are looking to recruit a Mathematics NQT on a permanent basis from September 2013.
In your role as the schools’ newly appointed Mathematics NQT, you will be joining an exciting, social and friendly team. For the successful Mathematics NQT the school will offer a range of professional development schemes which are open to all staff, coupled with brand new state of the art facilities, helping you and supporting you in flourish within your role. As this is a permanent position for a Mathematics NQT starting September 2013, the school have confirmed they will appoint you a mentor to guide and support you throughout the completion of your induction year.
Due to a permanent member of staff re-locating after seven years with the school and Mathematics department, my client require a an Mathematics NQT to deliver the curriculum to Key Stages Three, Four and Five to mixed ability and streamed sets of pupils. As the successful Mathematics NQT you will be fully supported throughout your induction year and given the chance to progress up the educational ladder.
My client has an excellent reputation within the borough and is pioneering the way in introducing new initiatives and schemes within the school and the wider community. The success of this school can be put down to hard work and an excellent team ethos across all departments, which has been led by the fantastic Headteacher for the past eight years and the excellent Senior Management Team. Mathematics is taught to all pupils throughout their five years at the school. All pupils are grouped based on their ability which is ascertained through key stage two results as well as through my clients rigorous testing on arrival and during their time at the school.
Pupils in year seven, eight and nine now follow the schools’ new key stage three levelled scheme. This scheme teaches each group based on their starting level. It then allows them to cover the topics at and just above this level. This method enables pupils to learn at their level along with their peers. At the end of every half term there is a formal assessment to monitor the pupils’ progress. In years 10 and 11 the pupils study for the GCSE exam; following the Edexcel linear course. Each pupil is set based on their current grade and their predicted grade. Each pupil is pushed to reach their full potential by being taught by specialist teachers along with strong interventions such as after school clubs.
Last years GCSE Mathematics exams produced the highest results the school has seen in the last few years with 93% of pupils A*-C grades. At A-Level Mathematics is a very popular subject. During last years examinations 89% of pupils passed with an A*-C grade.
The schools most recent Ofsted report in 2012, deemed them as ‘Outstanding’ with special attention going to the Mathematics department which was also graded as ‘Outstanding’. There is a clear, zero tolerance behaviour policy at the school with excellent support systems, which allows teachers to work freely within the school and though, as the successful Mathematics NQT you must be confident and set authority, command & respect, you will not be in this school for crowd control purposes.
This is an excellent opportunity for a top Mathematics NQT and one not to be missed. If you are looking for a new and exciting challenge from September 2013, please send your CV to Alfie at Edustaff today, and avoid disappointment.
***Your application will be passed onto the client and if we do not contact you directly within 14 days, please assume your application was unsuccessful***
