RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) To develop an awareness and understanding of the buying process, attending range building and selection meetings where required.

c) Analyse both current and historical data to assist in the planning process. This covers both retail and directory.
d) Develop and maintain a good working relationship with suppliers in order to ensure service and support.
e) Analyse previous sales history to determine a future size ratio, sending out supplier enquiries, agreeing delivery dates and raising the purchase contract.
f) Attend and assist in supplier visits, discuss business levels and plan monthly production reservations. Also be involved in negotiating garment lead times.
g) Attend and assist in progress meetings to ensure that any potential problems are dealt with promptly and effectively in order that all key dates are met, keeping the merchandiser informed on any actions taken. Particular attention is needed to ensure the cut and production dates are kept to, maintaining the delivery date.
h) Liaise with their supplier base, ensuring that the stock is booked into the warehouse and delivered on time to meet the launch dates. Communicating any issues to the merchandiser, proposing and agreeing solutions and where necessary, taking required action.
i) Manage the Mock Shop requirements, with close liaison with suppliers, ensuring that samples are ordered to achieve the photo-shoot dates.
j) Review weekly sales in retail, ensuring that sales are re-forecasted to meet customer demands, placing further orders as and where required.
k) Identify poor performance lines and cancel surplus stock as necessary.
l) Movement of stock across retail and directory, ensuring that both retail sales and directly service level are maximised.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Highly proficient analysing and interpreting numerical data.
b) Interest in fashion.
c) Strong Communication skills.
d) Computer literate Inc MS Office particularly Excel.

DESIRABLE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) A degree is preferable but not essential.

Previous experience in Merchandising is not required as full training and development will be provided. What is important is that you have the determination to apply your aptitude for analysing numerical information and data in a highly commercial environment ,coupled with a willingness and enthusiasm to learn and drive your career in the rewarding and challenging field of Merchandising within Fashion Retail.

THE ROLE:

The product is their newest and fast-growing software product developed for the brand licensing and consumer products industries and manages the complete life cycle of a contract. It is applicable to both the licensor and licensee sides of merchandising.

The role involves all stages of the sales process. Therefore, you would be required to be self-sufficient and be able to work deals from beginning through to end (including pipeline generation, prospecting, cold-calling and client-facing consulting). They are seeking an experienced sales professional to build their own market and then to sell to that market, although you will be fully supported through marketing campaigns, lists of leads etc.


THE OPPORTUNITY:

Commission is uncapped. In this role you would be involved with a new product line that takes the company outside of its traditional media industry into other market places. It is a chance to define a market place for their newest and one of their fastest-growing products which will allow you to expand your reach into other verticals. The potential for this product in terms of markets is great and it can be expanded into entertainment, pharmaceutical, automotive, petroleum engineering, consumer electronics and other markets!

This is a medium-sized dynamic company in which you will have a significant level of autonomy. The environment is less structured and constrained than in the large corporates, in which you can grow as fast as you are able, with a great deal of flexibility and scope.
