• Negotiate purchasing terms with suppliers (staged payments etc.) to ensure optimum cash flow;
• Negotiate central supply contracts for a wide range of goods, services and materials;
• Negotiate retrospective rebates to be allocated to each individual branch;
• Evaluate the benefits of entering into new partner supplier relationships for other commodities and services;
• Management of other non-partner supplier relationships introducing KPIs where appropriate;
• Negotiate purchases for items of Capital Equipment;
• Provide support to all branches within the UK in respect of providing pricing and availability information on anticipated purchases;
• Develop close working relationship with branch network to ensure progress meets with requirements and milestones are met.
• Be familiar with environmental aspects of activities undertaken in the role and the procedures and processes underpinning
• Ensure that the work area is kept clean and tidy in accordance with company initiatives such as LEAN and in accordance with health and safety requirements
• Any other duties commensurate with your skills, knowledge and experience
