Reporting to the Finance Director the key responsibilities are:
* Providing management and control for assigned operational contracts ensuring month end timelines are met.
* Providing direct financial support to Operational Management and Directors, financial assistance and due diligence to commercial discussions, change control and new bids.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
* Manage the monthly management account process along with managing financial reporting for assigned operational contracts, providing insightful commentary on key monthly variances and performance of the business.
* Preparation of year end packs and to manage the monthly forecasting process and the annual budgetary process preparing financial reporting and providing financial guidance and forecasting training to the Profit Centre Managers.
* Financially control the process for all capital/revenue expenditure requests along with monitoring the credit control process within the businesses.
* Provide financial support in all commercial negotiations and discussions. Ensure all costs and margin that are outside the contract are recovered.
* Provide financial support in the form of cost and headcount analysis, modeling for change control, new bid models and contract renegotiations ensuring all financial assumptions and risks are understood.
The Financial Controller will be qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA Accountant with excellent academics and experience within medium to large organisations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required, also strong IT skills including Microsoft office Word and excel (Pivot tables, V lookups) Good previous experience in Business Planning, Forecasting and Bid Modeling are also necessary coupled with good staff leadership.
Previous experience of SAP would be advantageous
