My client is a well establsihed energy conservation and environmental solutions in Australia, Dubai and in the UK to medium to large energy users and are now are seeking a degree qualified electrical engineer for the position of Engineering & Estimation Engineer. The duties will involve: * Design and prepare system designs for the business development team * Estimate complete project costs and provide payback analysis for each proposal * Complete pricing templates and source relevant prices from suppliers * Use CAD to reproduce or generate system schematics * Use CAD to generate updated single line drawings and electrical schematics * Reproduce hydraulic and reticulation schematics to assist with system design * Collaborate with other Design Engineers, Business Development Managers and Project Engineers to seek optimum design for each project (balancing cost with functionality) * Liaise with EP&T design engineering, technical and business teams to understand client and project briefs. * Provide post-design support to project engineers as required * Provide technical sales support to the Business Development Managers team as required * Co-ordinate sales/order process - by passing client orders to Projects Department with accompanying technical/estimation/proposal information The criteria is: * Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics * Minimum 3-5 years experience in an electrical role with hands on experience * Practical understanding of HV/LV essential * Technical computing skills essential with experience of using AutoCAD a must * Good report writing skills essential * Design & Estimation experience essential * Experience of a M&T sub-metering systems advantageous * Experience of building services and mechanical engineering advantageous * Energy management experience advantageous * Superior communication skills * Adaptable and forward-thinking * Prepared to work irregular hours to meet project deadlines * Proven ability to work under pressure Please note approximately 3 months training will be provided and this is a London based role. They are now adding to a team of engineering professionals that are working closely with their customers to deliver custom solutions which meet their demanding touch sensing requirements. Think iPad style touch performance on your microwave oven and you get the picture. Job Overview: This role is part of a team of Project and CAD engineers focused on fast-turn, high quality capacitive multi-touch sensor designs and their supporting flex and rigid PCBs. This role is highly customer focused and requires professional interaction with the customer's design team all the way from project concept through to mass production. Our clients USP is that they "own" the touch design problem through all phases so avoiding the customer needing to become expert in this highly challenging field. In order to achieve that aim, design engineers at need to be multi-disciplined. Capacitive touch and Human Interface related issues require a "challenging" mix of skills: analogue electronic, electric field physics, materials properties, software interaction, host driver creation, some digital circuit design, and some Microcontroller knowledge. We are looking for an Estimator / Estimating Engineer to support the expansion of a Precision engineering business. You will be taking new orders and requests from sample and drawing stage through to quotation and costing.

As an Estimator / Estimating Engineer you will be fully responsible for estimating all company incoming RFQ's, enquiries and orders.

* Assess if the enquiry is within our manufacturing capability, approval or specification and if not communicate with the customer.
* Obtain all competitive prices for raw material; treatments, processes etc. from the supply chain, necessary in the completion of the quote.
* Carryout a full and detailed estimate using the company data rates and software within the timescale allocated by either the customer or the Sales team. Taking account of appropriate tooling required.
* Review the estimate with the Engineering and Sales teams in preparation for quotation to the customer.
* Prepare the quotation using the standard company quotation document and send.
* Monitor incoming orders to establish Win/Loss ratios
* Be responsible for the organised control of all enquiry files, documents, drawings, quotations etc.
* When an order is received prepare all information in a format capable of transferring directly into the Engineering Router ready for manufacture.
* Be a part of the Contract Review team which sits weekly to ensure that all aspects of the incoming order meet the conditions and specifications estimate/quote/lead time etc.
* Maintain an excellent working relationship with all internal members of the company and with all customers.
