One of these requirements is for an Electrical Engineer to report into the Engineering Manager and work across a number of project teams consisting of designers and Project Engineers. You will undertake the production of concept designs, specifications, work packs and detailed reports for new build projects and the maintenance of existing equipment on offshore vessels and rigs.

You will be conversant with Autocad to produce 2D electrical and control drawings. Experience of mechanical systems and rotating machinery would be seen as an advantage.

They wish to add to their successful team by recruiting a Principal / Senior Electrical Engineer to work in the Exeter office. The successful candidate will act as Team Leader for the Exeter Electrical Engineering team, deputising for the Lead M&E Engineer when required.

You will be suitably qualified with a degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and have a strong background in a design and consultancy. Candidates who are Chartered Engineer status are of particular interest.

They require a candidate who has knowledge of BIM, AutoCAD, Revit and associated design management tools. Ideally you will have general knowledge in healthcare/ educational sector, including the design of specialist electrical systems for a wide range of heavily serviced facilities, this is preferred but not essential.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electronic Engineer / Applied Physicist based in Kibworth, Leicester with strong electronics background, ideally with a strong background in mathematical modelling to work within a team on thermal technologies to join a high growth technology focussed company.

The company currently design and market a diverse range of thermal products; they are now successfully implementing an ambitious research programme to build an intellectual property portfolio. Consequently they are leading national and European research projects for temperature control and thermal conversion.

As an Electronic Engineer / Applied Physicist your duties will include:

• Maintaining a detailed understanding of thermal technologies.
• Creating device packaging models, integrating and testing electronic sub-systems.
• Designing, developing and running space suitable qualification or life tests of technologies.
• Leading the development of instrument calibration source technology for projects that meet requirements, schedule and budget while respecting industry and business standards.
• Operating and developing analysis software for the radiometric characterisation of sources.
• Supporting bid activities, including the production of design, development and verification plans, work packages, costings and customer meetings.
• Managing research / customer project parts and systems.
• Company representation and decision making at industrial and academic events.

As an Electronic Engineer / Applied Physicist you will hold the following skills and experiences:

• Degree in Physics, Electronics, or Engineering (2:1 or above).
• A PhD in Electronics, Physics or Electronic Engineering is desirable but not essential.
• Experience of Digital electronics - circuit design using microcontroller I2C, RS232 communications, multiplexers, state machines.
• Coding experience (C,C++).
• Experience of low frequency Analogue electronics design high reliability, low noise and extremely stable circuit design. EMC experience is extremely desirable.
• Working experience with Matlab (or Labview) programming and processing large data files (e.g. multi-channel temperature readings).
• Experience R&D environments achieving deliverables within time budget constraints.
• Effective interaction with multi-disciplinary teams. Competent and comfortable creating and delivering presentations to different stakeholders.
• The ability to quickly understand new technical concepts.
• Strong mathematical background.
• Thermofluids and/or thermal modelling.

In return you will receive a salary of £26,000 - £36,000 per annum plus a Pension, Life insurance, Health insurance.
