A leading company has an opportunity join their team as a Cleaning Supervisor, required to work within a prestigious retail store, working 5 out 7 days, various shifts starting from 8am.
Key elements of the role:
• Maintain regular contact with the customer
• Deal with any issues efficiently and in a professional manner, referring to Site/Line Manager where appropriate
• Ensure that cleaning is delivered to the expected and agreed standards
• Assist with recruitment/induction of cleaning operatives and liaise with Site Manager for documentation completion
• Provide technical training as and when required for all cleaning staff and liaise with Site Manager for additional training
• Monitor and review cleaning staff performance
• Manage disciplinary issues on a day-to-day basis, referring any formal action to Site Manager
• Monitor and record unreported staff absence
• Take ownership of Health & Safety for yourself and others at work
• Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are followed and encourage safe working practices at all times
• Ensure that all cleaning tasks are carried out in accordance with the specification
• Ensure cleaning staff understand and work to task schedules
• Ensure the effective use of equipment and materials
• Monitor the use of materials and order stocks as necessary
• Report all machinery faults
• Manage the wages to budget and ensure cleaning staff work the correct number of hours
• Distribute uniforms, monitor standard of cleanliness and repair
• Ensure that machinery, equipment and cleaning cupboard are kept in a clean and tidy state
The successful candidate will:
• Have previous supervisory experience
• Be reliable and hardworking with a professional attitude
• Be able to work to a schedule on their own initiative
• Have good communication skills

This role is for 40 hours a week and is 5 days out of 7 (it does include some weekends but it would not be every weekend), candidates must be prepared to work some early morning shifts, some day shifts and some evening shifts.

As an Industrial Cleaner your responsibilities include jet washing the walls and floors, clean equipment as required, ensure that all cleaning schedules are filled in appropriately, to understand and follow site Health and Safety procedures.
