Job Description Working a winter in childcare with Crystal Ski is a great way to use your childcare qualification in the exciting environment of a ski resort. You will be working with a team in one of our kids clubs, caring for either our youngest customers ranging from 6 months - 4 years in our Pepi Penguin Club or our young customers ranging from 4 - 11 years old in our Whizz Kid Club. We want all the children in our care to have a safe and fun holiday and you are responsible for providing a stimulating, caring and safe environment to the highest standards. As part of the Pepi Penguin Club you could also be employed as Crystal Private nanny in the customer's chalets, at times you may also be needed to help care for the 4-11year old children in the Whizz Kids Club. Similarly, if you are part of the Whizz Kid Club, you will be responsible for providing the children with an active and exciting experience with bum boarding, snowman building, arts and crafts and drop offs and pick ups from ski school Our Childcare positions require you to be qualified in childcare to either NVQ Level 2 or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, hold a valid First Aid certificate and be CRB screened. The successful Deputy Manager will hold a Foundation Degree in Therapeutic Childcare or equivalent, and hold experience of residential work with young people who have a history of serious deprivation and abuse – sexual, physical and / or mental. Proven experience of supervising staff with in a residential setting you will have the ability to manage in stressful situations and will contain anxiety effectively. Ideally you will be working towards NVQ Level 4 in Childcare, Residential Work and hold management experience.
