Biology Teacher (Key Stage 3 to 5) – Enfield, North London – September 2013 – Permanent
Are you an experienced or newly qualified teacher of science with a specialism in Biology? Would you like to join a modern, comprehensive school with a good Ofsted and a settled staff? Would you like to join a school that believes in career progression and professional development?
If you answered yes this could be the school for you!!!
***Science teacher with a Biology specialism – Key Stage 3 to 5
***Comprehensive school located in Enfield, North London
***Strong GCSE results and a ‘Good’ Ofsted (2012)
***Permanent post with plenty of career development opportunities and ongoing CPD
***Open to experienced and Newly Qualified Teachers
This lovely school located in the Outer London Borough of Enfield is looking to appoint a new member of the science department to join the school from September. The school would be very keen to find a Biologist happy to teach through to A-Level with support if necessary.
The school is a traditional comprehensive and is just slightly larger than average. It has produced GCSE results that are in line with national expectations for the past ten years and last year received a ‘Good school with some outstanding features’ report from Ofsted. The school is ambitious and wants to improve both areas over the coming years.
Science at the school is an area of real strength. The department is large and the facilities are relatively new. Performance at both GCSE and A-Level has been good but the school has lost its biology specialist through promotion and would like to find someone capable of leading on the subject.
The school has a very low staff turnover and only has two vacancies for September which is highly unusual for a school of this staff but is reflective of the great learning and teaching environment. The school has few behaviour issues and senior leadership are very supportive off all their teachers. The school also believes in ongoing professional development for all plus has an excellent induction programme for NQTs.
If this sounds like the sort of school you could see yourself at please email your CV to Adrian at Edustaff today!
