ROLE:
Spectrum Housing Group are looking to employ an Accommodation Officer ideally to start in June/July who will work as part of a small team based at their Leicester Accommodation Office and will be responsible for tenancy management for their student’s and key worker’s.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Assisting in the marketing of the accommodation to minimise void loss
b) Processing applications for accommodation
c) Management of arrears and dealing with tenancy issues
d) Carrying out inspections of the properties and raising repairs
ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Self Motivated.
b) An advocate for customer care and quality service provision.
c) Possess a good knowledge of IT along with good organisational skills.
d) You must have experience in front line customer service, general office administration and must be able to communicate at all levels.
e) Due to a requirement to travel within this role, a current driving licence and your own transport will be essential.

b) You must also be able to scrim joint and finish interior plaster work to an acceptable standard, complete Artexing and artex repairs and be have experience in painting and decorating.

ROLE:
The Housing Liaison Officer will provide a high quality advice and assistance service to tenants, applicants and other callers both over the phone and in person. They will also provide administrative support services to internal customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Act as the first point of contact for all customer enquiries (by telephone, in person or in writing) providing advice and information directly or redirecting calls as appropriate.
b) Provide advice services on subjects including (but not exclusively): rent accounts and payments, neighbour nuisance; anti-social behaviour and complaints; enquiries for housing and shared ownership; and responsive repair service.
c) Provide administrative support on the following: repairs administrative procedures; liaising with the Association’s out of hours service; monitoring of rent arrears; administering the Housing Benefit overpayment process; dealing with requests for rent refunds; sending out application forms and information packs on request and inputting new applicant details.
d) Inputting details of new tenancies or terminations, administering the starter tenancy visit process and providing active assistance and support to other teams.
e) Providing active assistance and support to other teams, to ensure that a high level of service delivery to external customers is maintained at all times.
f) Assisting in the monitoring of service delivery and updating records by contacting tenants and applicants by telephone or in writing or speaking to them in person.
f) Any other duties as requested.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Experience working in customer services.
b) Strong experience of working in a high profile or busy customer service environment.
c) Experience of communicating with a wide range of people and a skilled communicator at all levels, particularly over the telephone.
d) Experience of dealing with challenging and difficult situations.
e) Calm, patient and able to work under pressure and to cope creatively and effectively with a demanding workload.
f) Operational knowledge of Microsoft Outlook or equivalent e-mail, electronic diary, task, contact and file management.
DESIRABLE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Understanding of housing management issues e.g. arrears, repairs, voids.

Our client is a charitable, not-for-profit housing association, providing housing and management services to over 7,000 households across the Greater Manchester area.
They now have an opportunity available for an Assistant Director – Finance to join them to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the Association’s Financial Accounting and Treasury Services and to provide day-to-day management and motivation of the financial accounting and treasury team. As an active member of the senior management team, you will also contribute to organisational strategy and development.
Within the role you will prepare statutory accounts for the Association and its subsidiaries (including Group consolidation, and Corporation Tax returns), keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and take responsibility for VAT planning to ensure that best value is obtained. Ensuring regulatory, statutory and internal information is produced in a timely and accurate manner, you will prepare budgets as required and provide day to day management of the Associations loans portfolio and mortgage interest budget.
In conjunction with the Association’s treasury management advisors, you must regularly review the Association’s Treasury Management Policy and Practices, and Treasury Management Strategy and ensure that all funders’ loan covenants are monitored and complied with at all times.
Candidates for this role must have previous experience in middle/senior management within a financial environment coupled with a background of working in treasury management and the preparation of statutory accounts. CCAB, CIMA (or equivalent) qualified, you will be capable of formulating and presenting complex reports, often to a non-financial audience and have a methodical, well organised and positive approach to your workload.
Knowledge of the statutory and regulatory framework within a Housing/RP financial environment and of the political and legislative influences which may affect service delivery is essential.

Experience of working for a Membership Association will be useful although not essential. It is likely you will have led a finance function.
