We currently have an opportunity for a Deputy Manager for our home at Walnut Tree Lodge located near Bedford.
Within this role, you will be proportionately responsible to the Senior Management Team as delegated by the Registered Home Manager for the Home as a whole to include budgets, the fabric of the building and the recovery of children. Working alongside the Registered Home Manager, you will ensure any new developments regarding policy, procedures or processes are communicated to team members keeping in line with all standards and procedures.
Developing and maintaining relationships with all staff, including management level, you will be able to support, reflect and evidence the progress of individual children using our recovery programme. You will progress and encourage continual relationships with all external agencies including Ofsted, Education, Health, Social Services and all other regulatory bodies.
The successful Deputy Manager will hold a Foundation Degree in Therapeutic Childcare or equivalent, and hold experience of residential work with young people who have a history of serious deprivation and abuse – sexual, physical and / or mental. Proven experience of supervising staff with in a residential setting you will have the ability to manage in stressful situations and will contain anxiety effectively. Ideally you will be working towards NVQ Level 4 in Childcare, Residential Work and hold management experience.

ROLE:
This is an exciting new role for a shared property lawyer to provide legal services to South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse District Councils and their service areas; particularly property related work. The post holder will implement the first Voluntary registration project for the Vale council’s property portfolio. In addition, they will assist the senior contracts and property lawyer and external solicitors with major procurements, complex property transactions, town centre redevelopment and other regeneration projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Handle all associated non-contentious work arising out of the councils’ property portfolios including leases, licences, deeds, notices and registration of land
b) Advise on all property related matters including compulsory purchase orders
c) Draft and approve other agreements including nomination agreements, contracts, section 106 agreements/obligations and agreements under related legislation
d) Contribute to new systems and initiatives in legal services
For grade 7, in addition to the above the post holder will;
a) Advise on contracts and procurement legislation, procedures and documents, including EU procurement regulations and the councils’ procedure rules
b) Handle affordable housing development work, including funding and nomination agreements
ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Admitted as a Chartered Legal Executive or equivalent qualification or experience
b) Previous experience of relevant legal work
c) Thorough and up to date knowledge of property and landlord and tenant law and practice
d) Keen to be part of a shared service and to contribute to new ways of working and new initiatives

We are currently seeking cleaners in the Gatwick area who are hard working, reliable and punctual for one of the biggest soft services companies in the UK and Worldwide. The role will start off as temporary with potential for progression into a permanent role. Some general specifications include:
• Daily dust tops of furniture and all flat surface including window sill to remove dust, stains and grime
• Daily empty waste bins and dispose rubbish to designated area
• Daily sweep and mop/machine scrub all hard surface floors to remove dust, dirt and debris
• Daily vacuum clean all carpeted floors from wall to wall to remove dust, dirt and debris
• Weekly damp wipe legs of tables, chairs and other furnishing to remove dust and dirt
• Daily clean WC, urinals, showers and other fixtures and fittings to remove stains, dirt and lime scale
• Daily damp wipe all counters and polish sink
• Daily spot clean walls, doors and partitions to remove stains, dirt and marks
• Daily empty waste bins and dispose of rubbish to designated area
• Damp dust top of furniture and all flat surfaces to remove dust, dirt and grime
• Daily sweep and control mop/machine scrub all hard floors to remove debris, stains and dirt
• Spot clean any display cabinets to remove marks, dust and dirt
