The successful candidate will report to the Risk Assessment Manager.
Duties will include conducting legionella risk assessments and the monitoring for legionella control. The successful applicant will be required to produce reports detailing the results of the inspections carried out on water storage tanks, hot water boilers and air conditioning systems. Candidates will have a good understanding of drawing up schematics and writing up technical risk assessment reports
Candidates will hold the City & Guilds in Risk Assessing and will ideally have at least two years in the Risk Assessment industry.

Assistant Electrical Engineer
Job Purpose:
The role of the Assistant Electrical Engineer is to manage and provide construction assurance on a portfolio of projects and supervise a team of electrical operatives and sub-contractors, to maintain NER accreditation.
The Assistant Electrical Engineer will assist the Engineering Manager in managing a portfolio of projects and achieve quality, safety, and time targets set by the Operations Director. The Assistant Engineer will coordinate and effectively organise operations as to ensure that projects are delivered with full consideration to safety, quality and within iDNO/DNO G81 standards.
Principal Accountabilities:
• A working knowledge of the NERS accreditation scheme is required.
• Issue work instructions to site staff.
• Supervise and oversee operational staff.
• Manage the competency skill database and ensure that all operative are trained and experienced to carry out their duties and to an effective training programme is in force and maintained.
• All tools and testing equipment is calibrated and in date.
• Delivery of projects to time, quality, cost maintaining the highest levels of safety and environmental management.
• Ensure construction assurance through audits on quality of work, technical competencies, adherence to specifications, compliance with testing and commissioning procedures and NERS, safety and environmental procedures. Ensure that the required project completion data is completed and submitted for processing.
• Produce site delivery plans and ensure adequate provision of direct and contract resources, materials and services to ensure that project programmes are maintained
• Site manage contractors to ensure that contractual arrangements are met and that cost controls are reduced and within budget.
• Carry out budget electrical designs.
• Provide monthly achievement reports & forecasts
• Provide input as required into the pre-construction phases of projects.
• Ensure that all work is carried out to provide very high standards and levels of Customer Service that are the best.
• Ensure that all workers engaged on the projects / portfolio of projects is fully aware of all safety and environmental requirements.
Main Duties:
• Co-ordinate day to day construction and maintenance operations with Client/ Principal Contractor’s ensuring programmes are met and NERS requirements are met
• Provide technical support and act as appoint of reference for the Construction team
• Identify potential project risks/opportunities (raise awareness within team/company)
• Proactively seeking continuous improvement
• Represent Triconnex when required at meetings with clients and contractors
• When undertaking engineering activities manage the team of employees and contractors for successful delivery on time and to budget.
• When undertaking engineering activities manage the compliance with all H&S procedures such as NERS, Putting People to Work and Distribution Safety Rules and company policies.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
• The role requires a sound background in Substation and Cable/OHL systems and experience of working in a project delivery environment
• SAP authorisation would be advantageous.
• Power engineering experience is advantageous.
• Holds full driving license.
• The role also requires organisational skills, attention to detail, the ability to supervise multiple projects, and meet deadlines, and interpersonal skills.
• Ideally, the candidate will have an HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
• A working knowledge of the safety & environmental regulations relating to construction work in the industry. A working knowledge with CDM regulations and ISO9001 quality processes.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Project, the Microsoft Office suite of applications (Outlook, Excel, Word and Project) is essential.
• Ability to work as part of a highly focused team to meet tight deadlines and to work with others to achieve shared goals and optimise the contribution of the team.
• The ability to use own initiative to solve problems, self-motivated with an ambition to achieve.
• An understanding of the iDNO/DNO G81 suite of documents.
