To be considered for the role, you must hold the 2391 test & inspect certificate, and be City & Guilds qualified. A Part P and PAT Test certificate would be considered advantageous, as would previous social housing experience.

Excellent long term contract opportunities - Gas Heating Surveyors required x 10 - Birmingham Area - £30 per survey. (4-5 per day) Gas Safe registration required.

Our client are one of the largest and well known central heating and boiler upgrades and maintenance contractors in the UK.

Due to the governments Green Deal, the client has won a significant project for a large number of boiler upgrades in the Midlands.

The role is to complete a number of heating surveys on properties in the Midlands for eligibility for the grant to improve their boiler systems. Then completing the survey for the boiler installation. Including full heating system surveys.

You will require - Gas Safe - own registration, CCN1 Core Gas Safety, Asbestos Awareness certificate in date. A Disclosure Scotland will be required and we will put these through if you do not have one.

The roles are to start asap and we have got 2 dates for interview - Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th of June 2013.

The successful candidate will perform the following roles:

Geotechnical design for foundations, retaining structures, and earthworks, including use of Eurocode 7
Preparation of geotechnical specifications, including earthworks and foundations, ideally also with construction supervision experience
Planning and management of ground investigations, including scoping and preparing specifications and contract documentation, supervision and interpretation
Logging of soil and rock to BS5930/Eurocode 7
Supervising and co-ordinating the work of others and co-ordinating with engineers of other disciplines
Managing project teams to ensure production of deliverables to agreed timelines and within budget, providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior members of the team

You will be required to have the following skills:

Good general geotechnical design skills and the ability to demonstrate a good knowledge and understanding of geotechnical engineering and design principles
Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills
Excellent report writing and written and verbal communication skills
Appreciation of contaminated land/waste management issues would also be an advantage
Academic requirements include a minimum of a BEng in Civil Engineering or a BSc in Geological Sciences ideally supplemented with an MSc in Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology
Candidates should be Professionally Chartered or close to achieving Professional Chartership

They currently require a Senior Ecologist to assist with the management of the existing ecology team at their office in Hertfordshire.

The role will involve a degree of management of the existing ecological staff and the provision of high level technical advice to clients. The successful candidate will also be expected to help grow the ecological capacity of the team through training, recruitment and the establishment of an accredited network of ecological sub-consultants.

Applicants must have at least a first degree in Ecology or a closely related subject and have a minimum of 3 years experience of working on ecological projects, preferably within a consultancy environment. Experience of housing, energy or infrastructure projects would be advantageous as would the holding of a protected species license.
