With 27 Ofsted “Outstanding” Provider Awards, our Client is at the forefront in delivering high quality care and education. The organisation has recently embarked on an exciting and innovative expansion programme across the UK.
They now have an opportunity for a Regional Fostering Manager to join them to cover the North West to have responsibility for a team of four to six Social Workers, Two to Three Family Support Workers and Administrative Support ensuring that their work remains child and outcome focussed at all times. This is a registered role with Ofsted and you must ensure that all work undertaken by the team complies with the 2011 National Minimum Standards, Statutory Guidance and Regulations for Fostering Services.
Reporting directly to the Director of their Foster Care vision, you will have the opportunity to ensure operational excellence through direct supervision of your team, along with an input into the on-going strategic development of their Service. Working closely with the Quality Assurance and Service Development Manager, you will develop action plans, self-audits and other preps for Ofsted Inspections, developing robust action plans arising from any inspections.
Candidates for this role will hold DipSW, CQSW or equivalent and hold a Social Worker Management Qualification (GSCC). You will have proven experience relevant to fostering and at least one year’s experience of supervising and managing professional staff. With an excellent working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and standards you will have the ability to drive the fostering service forward whilst working with a high degree of autonomy. This role requires a level of flexibility, including overnight stays and weekend working away from the region as and when required, therefore it is essential candidates can accommodate this. A full UK driving licence is required.

Registered Home Manager (£24,000 - £38,000 dependant on qualifications and experience)
The Registered Home Manager must ensure that each young person has a plan which reflects his / her care, education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic and health needs and that the plan is reviewed regularly. You will effectively allocate a Key Worker for each young person and work in partnership with parents, carers and other professionals to safeguard and promote the welfare of young people.
With proven and recent experience of working with children at Senior Level, the successful candidate will hold NVQ 4 in Caring for Children & Young People or equivalent and understand the needs of BESD Children including managing challenging behaviour.
Candidates who hold RMCC NVQ Aware and a Management qualification are desirable however this is not essential.
Due to the nature of the role, candidates must hold a full UK driving licence.
Residential Childcare Worker (£6.40 - £7.50 p/hr + Sleep Allowance)
Within this role you will be responsible for providing day to day care for our young people, whether this is supporting them in activities, education or statutory meetings relating to their time in residential care. Working as a team, you will ensure the home is kept to a good standard to include cooking and cleaning.
Candidates will be provided with excellent training and support and have access to undertake the Children & Young Peoples Workforce Diploma within our own NVQ Centre if you do not hold relevant qualifications.
Excellent opportunities are available including a formal Management Development Programme which will leave to the completion of the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care, Children & Young People Services.

We currently have an opportunity for a Deputy Manager for our home at Walnut Tree Lodge located near Bedford.
Within this role, you will be proportionately responsible to the Senior Management Team as delegated by the Registered Home Manager for the Home as a whole to include budgets, the fabric of the building and the recovery of children. Working alongside the Registered Home Manager, you will ensure any new developments regarding policy, procedures or processes are communicated to team members keeping in line with all standards and procedures.
Developing and maintaining relationships with all staff, including management level, you will be able to support, reflect and evidence the progress of individual children using our recovery programme. You will progress and encourage continual relationships with all external agencies including Ofsted, Education, Health, Social Services and all other regulatory bodies.
The successful Deputy Manager will hold a Foundation Degree in Therapeutic Childcare or equivalent, and hold experience of residential work with young people who have a history of serious deprivation and abuse – sexual, physical and / or mental. Proven experience of supervising staff with in a residential setting you will have the ability to manage in stressful situations and will contain anxiety effectively. Ideally you will be working towards NVQ Level 4 in Childcare, Residential Work and hold management experience.

Joining the college on a fixed term contract for 11 months as a Trainer / Assessor – ER provision (Childcare), you will provide effective on and off the job support and guidance, training and assessment as appropriate for work-based learners in liaison with their employers.

Experienced in the delivery of Employer Responsive programmes including Apprenticeships, TtG etc, with high levels of success, you will be skilled in the development of effective learning and assessment materials, learner action plans and monitoring systems and have extensive knowledge of the relevant occupational standards.
Due to the field based nature of the role, you must hold a full driving licence, have the use of a car and be willing to travel within the Greater Manchester region.

We are looking for a senior supported housing officer to work in the Lewisham area for a homeless charity. We are looking for an experienced senior/ team leader supported housing officer to start an immediate contract on an ongoing basis.
This role has the potential to turn into a more permanent role for the right candidate and opportunities within the charity are available as well.
The type of character we are looking for is one that has housing management experience. Experience with dealing with challenging behaviour, as the young homeless people may have alcohol/ drug/ substance misuse. Risk assessments, health and safety, leavers care experience, experience with external agencies and rent arrears all the above NEEDS to be highlighted on your CV
The idea candidate will be able to deal with a large amount of work and be able to prioritise there workload.
You will have a CRB and also be happy to start a new CRB on commencement of contract.
5 years referencing will also be required, so please do not apply if you cannot provide 5 years referencing and also a fully enhanced CRB.
