The role is work as a Special Needs Teacher working with groups of students with complex needs in a Special School in Manchester, many of the pupils are of a vulnerable nature, students are in small teachable groups.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate excellent people skills and be able to demonstrate classroom and behaviour management skills, and show an understanding of the issues associated with teaching in a Special Needs School. Ideally you will have the personality and determination to support children with their education (the ability level of students generally ranges from PLevels upto and KS2/3). Experience of working with pupils within an SEN environment would be an advantage.
The school works with students who have been excluded from mainstream settings for a number of reasons and require the expertise of specialist teachers, in an environment which will allow them to flourish. The school also supports children with additional needs that mainstream settings cannot cater for. These students are often vulnerable and have become disengaged with education; the right Teacher will promote achievement in an inclusive environment that students feel is a supportive place to learn.

Our client are seeking a qualified primary or secondary teacher to work in a special school as a Y7 nurture teacher, the role will commence September 2013. The role will require you to lead a subject across the school, ideally English or Science, whilst teaching across the curriculum to one class. This position would be of particular interest if you have experience of working with challenging students in a small group environment.
This Specialist Educational School in Manchester, wish to appoint a committed Nurture Group Teacher for a long term role, to cover a maternity role,starting in September, there is a possibility this role may turn into a contracted position. This job is a full time role 5 days a week. The role is to work with the 11 to 13 age group (KS3) many of the pupils are working at Key Stage 2 and below. Due to the attainment levels of the students the head is keen to hear from Secondary and Primary qualified teachers for this role.
The school is a secondary SEN school that caters for children with complex difficulties. An understanding of SEN and complex needs, as well as behavioural difficulties is required and a commitment to furthering the learning and development of these pupils is essential.
Experience of working with students who have complex needs and behaviour issues would be an advantage but not a necessity. It is equally important to have the right personality to be able to build a strong working relationship with students and staff alike. This role is very much a team role where there is a supportive and experienced management team.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following;
Qualified Teacher Status or Recognised Teaching Qualification
Key Stage 3 specialist in any subject or those with experience of the KS2 curriculum would also be suitable
The ability/desire to work positively and effectively with challenging EBSD pupils and pupils with autism
Solid experience teaching in a mainstream school
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
The ability to motivate students and make lessons interesting
Excellent organisational and ICT skills
The capacity to work collaboratively as part of a team
Desirable:
Proven experience of working in a nurture group setting
TCI (therapeutic crisis intervention) qualification
Willingness to contribute to the extra curricular activities

An Special Needs School, Manchester are looking for a Dyslexia (DLIP) Teacher for a full-time 5 days per week role for a Dyslexia trained teacher for September 2013.
As the Dyslexia Specialist within the school you will be teaching the DLIP Curriculum with individual children and working with small groups for interventions.
The role can be flexible and will look to take someone on a short term contract until the Summer or can wait until September for the right candidate.
