Hudson's client, a global manufacturing business with a turnover in excess of 4billion, has a unique vacancy for a Head of Engineering at its West of Scotland site in Ayrshire, near Glasgow in the UK. This excellent opportunity will impact upon the Scottish arm of the business, which includes 3 manufacturing areas.

As part of the senior management and leadership team the Head of Engineering will be responsible for devising thought leadership and operational direction to the engineering function across all facets of the business.

Responsibilities will include:

* Creation and implementation of reliability and asset performance centred PPM processes
* Development of a continuous improvement engineering strategy
* Design and implementation of timely value added capital engineering projects
* Cultivating a production-centred maintenance culture
* Implementing a high-performance team through effective coaching and personal development
* Progressing engineering capability in line with business growth plans.

This senior engineering management position is suitable for a qualified individual with a demonstrable track record in the design and development of improvement focussed, high-performance manufacturing engineering and maintenance strategies, including all aspects of culture and policy change.
