We are searching for an experienced Engineer to take on the role of Senior Applications Engineer and to be responsible for supporting tier 1 customers to enable them to develop innovative products. This will be performed in supporting the development of custom software on embedded microprocessors to support key customer applications.
You will take ownership of software components and be responsible for deliverables within a timescale agreed with the applications manager manager. You will also be responsible for documenting best practice software guidance to enable your software to be readily adopted by developers. This role requires you to work with minimal supervision and involves the mentoring of junior members of the team. For the embedded software, this involves coding in ‘C’ and assembler within a resource constrained multi-processor environment.
We are searching for an Engineer with the following profile:
• Relevant academic background
• Excellent proven understanding of programming languages and embedded debugging techniques
• Proven real-time embedded programming experience in C and assembler
• Competent individual with a proven technical track record in the field of software engineering
• Ability to internally and externally drive to make things happen, “own” problems and take fixes to a conclusion
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Dynamic outgoing personality with customer facing and commercial awareness
• Fluent English language speaker
