Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the draughting of bespoke solutions for material handling applications involving system layout, build configuration and associated documentation. The role will involve working closely with a team of Design Engineers to produce detail drawings and documentation as required ensuring that all scheduled drawing office work is completed to all known quality and company standards, and within an agreed time scale.

To be considered for this varied and challenging position, you will possess at least an HND or above in Mechanical Engineering and be able to demonstrate previous experience of working with CAD (Bentley Microstation, Autocad). You will be a practical person with a good understanding of engineering principles with a flexible outlook, and capable of working both autonomously and as part of a team.

You will provide layout drawings, detailing from layouts and generation of production documentation to meet manufacturing schedules for specific projects, maintain department, company records and files and liaise and assist both sales and manufacturing personnel with Drawing Office procedures.

P403 and P404 qualifications as a minimum

You should posses sound knowledge of current legislation and HSG 264 as you may be expected to provide advice relating to asbestos from time to time.

Although primarily based in Staffordshire you may be expected to travel to surrounding counties in order to cover contracts from time to time so a full UK driving licence will be essential along with a willingness to travel.
