ROLE:
Spectrum Housing Group are looking to employ a Liaison Officer, within the Independent Living team on a fixed term contract to cover Maternity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) To deliver housing related support to residents who live in sheltered accommodation and also to clients in their own homes
b) To demonstrate a commitment to issues such as customer care, confidentiality, equality and diversity
c) To work as part of the wider team to ensure that the Independent Living Department meet all requirements and contractual obligations of Supporting People Authorities to whom the Association contracts
d) To ensure that all support is client focussed and meets the needs of individuals

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) To have previous experience of working in delivering housing related support to vulnerable people
b) Be able to communicate effectively with people with a variety of support needs and sensory impairments
c) Proficient in IT systems including Word, Excel and Outlook
d) Self-motivated, adaptable and able to make decisions on own initiative and to work within a team
e) Experience of Supported / Sheltered Housing and working with vulnerable people, or people with support needs.
f) Knowledge of the Supporting People requirements and Quality Assessment Framework
g) Knowledge of issues that can face the older population

Due to the requirements of the role a full current driving license and access to your own vehicle are essential
