Overview:
This is a newly created role in a very interesting high throughput organisation. The role will support the Finance Director and operational management with the production of timely and accurate management accounts, weekly reporting and fixed asset management.
The company hires furniture and catering equipment to the event and catering sector from large corporate events to small private functions.
The role would suit a self-starter looking to develop their skills and knowledge in a busy SME business.
In order to be successful for this role you will be part qualified with either ACCA or CIMA and looking to continue with your studies and have demonstrable management accounting experience.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Monthly management accounts including variance analysis
Fixed asset management
Bank reconciliations
Cash flow forecasting
Balance sheet reconciliation
Some management of the financial systems
Posting of journals
Statutory account preparation
Quarterly VAT
Supporting budgeting and forecasting process
Ad hoc management reporting
Experience:
Part qualified CIMA/ACCA
Completion of management accounts with variance analysis
Completion of bank reconciliations
Posting of accruals and prepayments
Balance sheet control account reconciliations
Skills and attributes:
High level of Excel knowledge including use of pivot tables
Good time keeping
Positive attitude and willingness to learn on the job
High level of double entry
Experience with Navision [not essential]
Use of access [not essential]

An established services company based centrally to Wimbledon are recruiting currently for an accounts assistant to cover a maternity leave within their finance team. The company have newly renovated offices with circa 30 staff on site, all whom are friendly and allow for an exceptionally enjoyable working environment.
Reporting into the finance manager duties will involve sales and purchase ledger processing. Experience in this is compulsory within an 2-20 million turnover business previously. Experience with more senior tasks including VAT, inter-company, cash flow and bank reconciliations would also be utilised if you have them. Your excel skills must also be relatively strong.
This is a circa 9 month contract. Hours at 8.30-5.30. Interviews are being held on the 24th and 28th May. Applicants are asked to consider the commute to Wimbledon before applying.
