My client a leading Financial Services company based in Cardiff is looking for a qualified Financial Planning Analyst to join their team.
As part of the team you will report to the Financial Controller for the division and will be an integral part of the global business. Your key objective in this role will be to give a consolidated overview of the profit centers, including cash-flow and long range budget plans.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing commercial finance support on balance sheet, cash flow, budget analysis and long range plans.
- Management accounting across key international profit centres, providing planning and analysis.
- Commercial support including planning cycles, and scenario testing.

Head of Treasury
The Role
• Responsibility for managing the treasury function
• Ongoing responsibility for minimising the interest costs for the group

• Carrying out the business modelling for the company, producing regular updates on business profitability, potential for distributions and compliance with financial covenants
• Involvement in regulatory submissions and negotiations in respect of financing matters
• Assistance in evaluation of cash tax/tax reporting implications of treasury strategies
The ideal candidate will have:
• Experience of managing the treasury function
• Experience of highly structured financing arrangements
• Exposure to structuring complex derivative products (ideally index-linked swaps) and the planning and negotiation of hedging strategies with banks
• Experience of managing bond issues in the debt capital markets
• Exposure to the financial challenges of working in a regulated sector
• A proven track record of negotiating and completing complex refinancing programmes
• Experience of managing relationships with rating agencies and other stakeholders (banks, bond investors, shareholders)
• Detailed financial modelling skills
• Experience of financial reporting in an Internal Accounting Standards environment
• A professional qualification (either ACA or MACT)
• Understanding of cash tax implications of funding/investment/hedging/repatriation strategies
• Knowledge of tax reporting implications of financial/treasury strategies
