Our Nuclear licensed site client are looking for experienced Commissioning Engineers to join their Hinkley Point based team.
• You will represent ESEU during the preparation and execution of commissioning activities on and off site.
• You will be able to plan, prepare, execute and report on in housing commissioning activities.
• You will need to act as cover for commissioning engineers in other teams.
• You will be able to write, review and present commissioning documentation and documentation to interface with other disciplines.
• You will report to the Testing and Commissioning Panel regularly.
• You will have experience of keeping a commissioning log of daily activities during commissioning.
• To provide advice and support to stakeholders regarding site procedures
• To ensure that commissioning activities comply with written procedures
• To support test acceptance and sign off procedures and documentation completion
Ideally the candidate will have worked in the nuclear industry for at least seven years within a commissioning role. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and CDM regulations is required. Experience within nuclear decommissioning projects would be preferred, but our client will consider other engineering projects.

As a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced and highly capable Manufacturing Engineer to complement their established Machine Shop team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the Manufacturing Engineering department on CMM Offline / Online programming for various aspects of Casing, Prismatic and safety critical rotor part manufacture, as well as providing offline Calypso CMM programs for Casings and Rotor Head components from Catia models and drawings and providing associated support paperwork for the inspection process including bench inspection and converting existing Umess programs to the Calypso format.
Additionally you will liaise extensively with the Manufacturing and Design teams on an offline workstation and provide Calypso CMM programs for first off and full inspection requirements. You will define the CMM fixture and probe requirements for each job and create detailed set up sheets for each new component. You will also provide FAIRS (First Article Inspection Reports) and ICS (Inspection Check Sheets) to support the component manufacture, and maintain existing Calypso programs using the Seiki System.
To be considered for the challenging and varied role, you will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes (machining processes for turning, milling, grinding etc) and be fully conversant in the interpretation of engineering and manufacturing drawings. Essentially, experience of Calypso software (programming and job running) and hands on experience of both offline and online CMM programming are required for the role.
Additionally, you will ideally have experience in the use of Catia V5 and an understanding of FAIRS and ICS documentation and be familiar with DMFG (Digital Manufacturing Processes) and ASME Y14.43 Dimensioning and Tolerancing.

To be considered for this varied and challenging role offering an attractive remuneration package and genuine stability and career progression prospects, you will essentially be qualified to HND / Degree level in a relevant engineering or aviation related subject and will have ideally completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship.

THE ROLE OF PRODUCT DESIGNER:

- Familiarity designing for high volume, low cost components and for automated assembly.
- Some knowledge of Plastic Injection Moulding design and practice.
