They are specialists in residential therapeutic treatments for children who occupy the very apex of the Specialist Services sector having suffered severe early life traumas including neglect; sexual, physical and mental abuse.
They currently have opportunities available for a Senior Residential Care Worker and Residential Care Works in Shrewsbury
Senior Residential Care Worker £19,467 - £21,821 - Subject to experience and qualifications
As a Senior Residential Care Worker (also known as Senior Care Practitioner) you will be responsible to the Home Manager and will be part of the Team accountable for the day to day direct care of the children to include managing the budget, resources and the fabric building and the recovery of the children acting as a day leader. Supporting the Registered Home Manager, you will ensure that health, safety and welfare of the children is paramount, that each child has a recovery plan that is fully implemented, seeking and accepting support if required. Providing primary basic care, you will be a positive role model for the child, contributing to the normal development of children, enabling them to reach their fullest potential by providing a stimulating and varied lifestyle.
Candidates for this role will have a good standard of education to GCSE Level or equivalent and hold an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care and an experience of working with children within a care / education setting. With the ability to prioritise, and organise your workload, you will have the aptitude to demonstrate knowledge of practical skills necessary to maintain a home.
Residential Care Worker £14,758 - £20,126 - Subject to experience and qualifications
As a Residential Care Worker (also known as a Student Recovery Practitioner) you will provide primary care and a nurturing (therapeutic) environment, contributing to the normal development of the child to enable them to reach their fullest potential by providing a stimulating and varied lifestyle. A positive role model, you will have high standard of presentation for the child and encourage the child to develop meaningful relationships in line with guidance and learning contained within our recovery programme.
Candidates for this role will have a good standard of education to GCSE level or equivalent and will ideally have experience of working with children, young people or Clients in a care / education setting. Due to the nature of this role, with overnight stays as part of the rota pattern of a home a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is required.
These roles require an enhanced DBS Check

Job Description
1. Liaise with Clients and Contractors to identify opportunities and develop business relationships
2. Provide the Mechanical input into asset surveys and plant condition assessments, feasibility studies, optioneering, whole life costing and conceptual design.
3. Responsibility for detailed design, value engineering, specification and selection of process equipment, tender assessments, reports and recommendations.
4. Produce project documentation including engineering specifications, data sheets, layout drawings etc
5. Produce mechanical specifications and deliverables for schemes in accordance with current legislation and standards for the scheme requirements
6. Liase with Subcontractors and deal with technical queries
7. Undertake factory acceptance testing of mechanical plant
8. Undertake site testing and commissioning
9. Using appropriate software to provide advice, solutions and successful project outcomes for clients.
10. Plan, programme, co-ordinate and write reports for specific projects.
11. Maintain communication and develop ongoing contacts with clients as required
12. Build relationships with new clients and key stakeholders
13. Provide technical assistance to staff, including training within specific areas of responsibility and expertise as required.
Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant subject
Commutable from Newcastle, Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Durham, Bishop Auckland, Hartlepool, Stockton, Darlington and surrounding areas.
