Financial Accountant - Shrewsbury
A Financial Accountant (with a commercial edge) is required for a relatively young construction business experiencing exciting growth.
Reporting to the FD, this role will be instrumental in taking the finance team to the next level and will play a key role in developing processes and controls both within the finance team and beyond. The potential candidate must have a strong personality, possess excellent communication skills, and able to demonstrate being a self-starter with an attitude of going the extra mile to improve the business.
Responsible for all aspects of financial accounting including
• Managing the month end reporting process to tight timelines
• Provision of accurate, timely and relevant financial information to the business (including overhead reviews with department heads)
• Working with the FD to develop insightful reporting and KPIs
• Balance sheet control accounts
• Working capital forecasting and management
• Assisting the FD in constructing company forecasting models
• HMRC compliance including PAYE, CIS and VAT
• Reviewing and improving internal financial controls and processes across the whole business
• Motivation and development of two junior staff members
The person will have experience of process development and implementation. Systems implementation and strong excel skills will also be a distinct advantage.
This is a perfect role for a self motivated, ambitious individual, willing to learn and put the effort in to expand their experience and progress their career. You must ideally be CCAB qualified or qualified by experience.

What You'll Be Doing

Teacher
As a Teacher, you will deliver teaching sessions to young people the majority of whom will have either learning or behavioural difficulties or both. Within the role you will plan and prepare schemes of work, planning and preparing individual lessons within the schemes of work and endeavouring to integrate sufficient differentiation within tasks and subject matter that all children will be engaged by the lesson.
Candidates for this role should hold QTS and have experience in teaching at Key Stage 3 and 4, working with young people with complex needs and EBD. With good teaching skills and the ability to match your approach to the needs of the pupils, you will have experience of planning schemes of work and lesson plans within the National Curriculum framework and the ability to form effective relationships with children and act as a positive role model. This role will be particularly suited to candidates with a humanities or art background although they do ask that candidates have a good grasp of general subjects.
Teaching Assistant
As a Teaching Assistant, you will assist teachers when requested with the planning and preparation of schemes of work within the general curriculum guidance; including the provision of individual support to young people within an educational setting and assisting teaching staff with the delivery of lessons.
Candidates for this role will ideally have experience in assisting young people with basic literacy and numeracy skills as well as PHSE. An ability to participate in physical education sessions and previous experience of working within an SEBD environment would also be advantageous.
