We are currently working on behalf of a large business based in Sheffield who is looking to recruit a Graduate Trainee into their Finance team. This role will suit a recent graduate or a University student who is sitting their final exams this month. You will be keen to commence study towards a professional accounting qualification and will have the aim to be fully qualified within three years.
What are we looking for?
- A recent graduate or currently 3rd year student (2.1 or 1.1 degree achieved/expected)

UK wide instantly recognisable business based in Sheffield currently requires an Assistant Commercial Accountant to join their expanding finance function.
Due to internal promotion and recent company expansion you will take a key role in driving the business forward. Your main duties will see you involved in the preparation and production of the monthly management accounts pack, dealing with weekly KPI analysis as well as complex P&L reporting. Due to the commercial nature of the role you will also have the opportunity to liaise with senior operations and sales directors reporting on current financial positions. Management Accountant
to join the finance department team. Reporting to The Finance Director and working closely with the rest of the finance team and the Factory Managers, the key tasks for the Management Accountant will include:
• Co-ordinating and reporting on group stocks (including overseas subsidiaries).
• Maintain ERP product costings.
• Producing period end management accounts.
• Producing weekly labour, stock & other ad-hoc reports.
• Advising, training and challenging the operational teams on budgets, forecasting and areas of improvement.
• Carrying out labour costings & cap-ex appraisals.
• Mentoring other members of the team.
To be considered for this fantastic opportunity as Management Accountant you must:
• Be a qualified or soon to be qualified Accountant (Ideally CIMA).
• Have manufacturing experience and good report writing abilities.
• Be comfortable working with multiple IT systems (currently– MS Office, Crystal reports, Sage & EFACS, Gripple’s bespoke ERP system).
• Possess excellent Excel skills with good organisational ability.
• Be a flexible, team player, able to work with minimal supervision.
• Have the ability to explain financial information to non-financial colleagues and be comfortable working in both an office and factory environment.
