Wireless / Communications Systems Engineer - Scotland
This wireless systems development position is with our client, a new and exciting start-up based in the fabulous city of Edinburgh, who are developing novel communications systems and architectures for optical based wireless communications.
The successful candidate will join as a key member of staff and will with responsibility for the Physical and MAC Layer architecture and its implementation.
Wireless Systems Engineers with experience and competency in the following areas:
- Excellent knowledge of wireless communication systems
- Software development (c or Matlab)
- System architecture design and platform selection experience.
Any of the following experience would be very beneficial (but not mandatory):
- Optical electronics
- DSP / FPGA programming skills
- Digital and/or analogue hardware design

A large Aberdeen based Oil and Gas company are looking to recruit 2 Control Systems Engineers to join their Research and Development team.
We have an opportunity for a PLC/SCADA Software Engineer to join a research and development team in the Aberdeen area. You will provide your expertise in the area of control system design, implementation, integration and qualification ensuring effective transition from the lab into advanced products. Experience with software development, verification, and change management is essential for this position. You shall be required to develop software to a structured development life cycle model, from the requirements stage to product release.
Expertise in the following environments or similar is required: Allen Bradley ControlLogix PLC, Siemens Step7, DCS Platforms, ICONICS Genesis 32, Wonderware Intouch
