A Civil Engineer is required by a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy based in Glasgow. This vacancy has arisen due to growth within the Civil Engineering team.
The Civil Engineer will be involved in a variety of projects across a number of sectors such as Education, Residential, Commercial, Healthcare and Renewable Energy. The ideal candidate with have a BEng in Civil Engineering and be working towards becoming Chartered. The successful candidate will be involved in design related to Civil Infrastructure such as drainage, roads and pavements, hydrology and flooding. Ideally, the Civil Engineer will have experience of using software such as AutoCAD, Civils 3D, HEC-RAS or ISIS and Microdrainage.

A Principal Civil Engineer (Water) is required by a leading global consultancy that specialises in Civil & Structural Engineering across a number of sectors such as Water, Transportation, Energy and Structures. This water based opportunity comes about due to an increasing workload and will be based in Edinburgh.
The Principal Engineer will be involved in a variety of exciting projects within the Water Industry. The successful candidate will provide multi-disciplinary services and will be expected to carry out activities within water and waste water treatment works, flood management and flood prevention, hydraulics/hydrology and drainage. Specifically, you will be responsible for civil & structural design and calculations and will also be responsible for providing support to less experienced members of the team. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to liaise with clients and be involved with the management of technical designs.
Ideally, you will be a Chartered Civil Engineer with industry experience within the Water sector, particularly, within Water and Waste-Water Treatment Works and infrastructure designs. A knowledge of hydrology and drainage is also desirable.

Our client is a leading Facilities Management Company that works with Civil Engineering, Building and Environmental Services. They are now recruiting for a Legionella Risk Assessor for their Environmental Services Division to cover work within Central Scotland.
The role requires taking responsibility for conducting legionella risk assessments to ACOP L8 guidelines at commercial and industrial premises. Additional duties will include producing reports, drawing up schematics, visiting corporate accounts, building and maintaining relationships with clients at all levels.
Ideal candidates for this position will have a minimum of two years risk assessment experience and hold the City & Guilds Qualification. With excellent written communication skills, it is expected that candidates are computer literate, able to work in a team environment and use their own initiative.

A Senior Engineer is required by a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy for a role based in Edinburgh within the Water team. This particular consultancy operates across numerous sectors such as environmental, power, industrial, transportation and utilities.
The Senior Engineer is required to join an established team whose workload consists of Flood Risk Assessments, Flood studies and protection schemes, SUDS and hydrological aspects for Environmental Impact Assessments. The successful candidate will be involved in Project Management of flood risk assessments and the development of flood studies and protection schemes. In addition, you will be expected to manage a small team of modellers as well as get involved in bid preparations, tendering and technical reporting.
The successful Senior Engineer will be degree educated in Civil Engineering, Water Resources or Hydrology and will either be Chartered or approaching Chartered status. It is essential that you have experience similar industry experience and have or have had experience using modelling software such as HEC RAS, ISIS and TUFLOW. In addition, experience with drainage design, hydrogeology EIAs, pipe network modelling, SUDS and coastal modelling is desirable.

They are now seeking to recruit a Senior Geotechnical Engineer for their office in Glasgow.
You will work as part of their Ground Engineering team, providing support and advice to the business, as well as managing your own projects. You will lead or assist in the delivery of geotechnical input to projects, and will be required to provide technical guidance and support to more junior engineers. There will be opportunities for a wider degree of responsibilities and roles within the geotechnical and tunnelling team aimed at developing your career as a ground engineering specialist.
The successful candidate must have the following skills:
Have good all-round technical expertise in geotechnical engineering and the ability to progress schemes from inception to design completion.
Hold an accredited MEng/BEng in Civil Engineering / Geotechnical Engineering / Engineering Geology (or equivalent) and, as an experienced professional, you should be a chartered or near chartered engineer / engineering geologist.
Be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a large multi-disciplinary team, as well as leading teams in your area of expertise with the confidence of those working above and below you.
The ability to produce well presented and accurate designs and reports is essential.
You must have experience in ground investigation, geotechnical design, and construction in a Railway environment, soil-structure interaction analysis and ground movement assessment and also soft ground tunnelling.
