Are you looking to apply for a PGCE/Teacher training in September 2013/14?

Do you have experience of working with children, in a classroom or similar environment?

Would you work well along side an experienced key stage 2 teacher, and have a positive impact on the achievement levels of pupils in this Year 3 class?

If you have answered yes to the above, we would love to hear from you! This two term teaching assistant post at a wonderful Primary School could be perfect for you!

***Teaching Assistant
***KS2 – Year 3 class
***Outstanding Primary School
***Worsley, close to M60 motorway
***£300 per week + offset expenses
***Two term post until July 2013
***Ideal pre teacher-training placement

A graduate with a real determination for inspiring young primary aged children is immediately required for a Teaching Assistant role in Worsley. The Head teacher of my Client Primary School, is looking for a candidate with a strong academic background, and the ability to engage children with varying levels of ability.

This is a rare opportunity in a School of this kind, as the current Teaching Assistant in the Year 3 class is now on long term absence. You will provide general classroom support, to a well behaved class of 30. Working along side an experienced teacher, who is also the key stage 2 co-ordinator in School, you will gain valuable experience if teaching is your long term goal.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be required to work with pupils on an individual basis and also in small groups. No day will be the same, you will support high achievers and encourage them to continue their good work and also help pupils with low levels of attainment to reach their expectations. Any previous experience in a classroom is desirable but not essential, a candidate with a determined and focused approach will be given full support for this role.

Last inspection determined this School to be Outstanding, with high levels of teaching across the age range and exceptional management from the SLT. The School is around average in size with just over 220 pupils on roll, the number of pupils with EAL and special educational needs is just below the national average.

This role is initially on a two term contract until the end of academic year 2013, the role of teaching assistant requires a confident and well organised candidate who is able to think on their feet. Any previous experience working with children would be beneficial, as the Head teacher is looking to interview the successful candidate as soon as possible.

If you would like to apply for this role, do not hesitate to send through your CV to Edustaff now.
