Job Purpose and Summary:
Manage the implementation of Pan European and local tactical PR activities for Canon Consumer Imaging. Conduct press evaluation & monitoring
Responsibilities and Tasks:
Working with the PR, Internal Comms and Events Team Leader, plan, implement and measure all UK CIG PR campaigns to directly support business objectives. Aligned to the PE strategy, define, develop, implement and measure local tactical PR campaigns against immediate business needs. Manage local process approval of press releases, support documents and editorial with key stakeholders for specific product categories/groups. Ensure these are accurate and factual and sent on time. Working with the PR, Internal Comma and Events Team Leader to develop innovative Thought Leadership and social media projects. Manage local agency briefings. Support the Corporate & Marketing Communications Manager in the event that Crisis Comma are required. Manage specific project budgets against objectives. Evaluation, reporting and planning based on PR Key Performance Indicators (Kips) (Metrics analysis). Relationship management of UK Journalists / and Product Group spokespeople. To be able to respond quickly and accurately to requests for information from the media, and to maintain an up to date awareness of the issues affecting the relevant product areas of responsibility. To create press releases/media alerts quickly and accurately.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proven PR experience. Educated to degree level or equivalent. Excellent English language skills. Can work effectively with all internal stakeholders and external agencies. Self motivated, pragmatic with a high level of initiative and drive to succeed. Ability to plan and organize workload effectively to meet required deadlines.

Do you have experience of processing orders?
Due to the merger of Oce into Canon, we now need a team of individuals to process the orders of Canon's different business areas- Business Imaging Group (BIG) & Consumer Imaging Group (CIG) Channels.
This environment requires someone with accurate skills to quickly and efficiently project manage the end of end completion of orders whilst complying with Company, contract and legal requirements.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
Using the Pan European Order Management Order Check-list, check and ensure Sales Online quote is complete, accurate and in accordance with the paperwork signed by the customer, including contract details, prior to creation and booking order.
Schedule and plan order delivery in accordance with stock availability, standard lead times (including customer contractual SLAs), PDI capacity (if relevant), notifying and confirming the scheduled delivery week with the customer.
Check Salespeople’s monthly commissions payments where appropriate.
Manage availability and conversion of products. Monitoring the order to delivery lead-time in accordance with the customer contract SLAs ( Service Level agreements
The role will be a mix of working across a number of departments so handling areas relating to customer credit, transportation issues, management of loan stock and conducting the appropriate checks with each order. Working to tight deadlines means that you need to use your skills in managing your time efficiently.
Once you become proficient at managing orders, you will be asked to attend customer review meetings to audit queries and recommend enhancements to services provided.
You will work as part of a team to make sure department orbjectives are met. Training will be given on the processes you will be using but any knowledge of Oracle would be beneficial, but not essential.
Use in-house reporting tools available in order to support day to day business requirements.
Assist and offer support towards training needs of newer and/or less experienced team members where requested.
