The prime focus of the role is the specification and design of the systems for ground based and naval VHF and UHF (100 to 512MHz) communications systems and services. This involves creating innovative system designs to integrate our clients' products with equipment, subsystems and infrastructure from other suppliers.
This provides a varied and challenging work that includes aspects of sales, projects and technical support. This can range from a technical query on a single radio to a complete airport system project including a multi-million £ radar, with multiple displays and new buildings and infrastructure.
Other duties of the role would include researching and answering technical queries, learning and performing basic radio and control system design under the guidance of more senior engineers.
In order to be suitable for this position, you must hold a recent relevant MSc, BSc or BEng in Systems or Electronic Engineering.

Educated to degree level and/or with an equivalent professional qualification, you’ll have significant experience in the heritage industry and of national and regional developments in heritage. Ideally this will have involved large-scale events of 5000+ people and the creation and management of medium-sized teams. The ability to demonstrate your experience of managing and developing a high quality heritage programme is also required. Business planning, budgeting and handling press and PR will be essential skill areas, along with:

• Excellent organisation and all-round communication skills
• Experience of managing and developing high-quality heritage programmers
• Securing sponsorship from the private sector or equivalent partners
• Consultation with customers including hard-to-reach groups

You must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
