Position Overview – Contract Power Supply Design Engineer
• Supporting this leading aerospace bring their new product to market.
• Power supply unit design, development and testing.
• Analogue Circuit simulation
• Investigate, resolve and prevent product defects.
• PCB layout (Altium strongly preferred)
About You:
• Analogue circuit design expert
• Extensive experience developing switch mode power supplies from concept
• Knowledge of circuit topologies and able to confidently explain the merits and uses of each at interview. (Buck-Boost, SEPIC, Fly-Back etc)
• Knowledge of avionics advantageous but not essential - DO160
• Knowledge of interfacing FPGA and MCU inverted design

Key responsibilities of the role: Prepare drawings and calculations for Pre-Cast Components using bespoke 'Winfloor' software Produce quotations from information supplied by clients Liaise with Construction professionals such as Architects, Engineers, Contractors over the phone and via e-mail Pro-Actively follow up on issued quotations Produce Orders from all the above activities Visit sites to carry out surveys THE COMPANY: Our client is a specialist manufacturer and installer of Pre-Cast Concrete Flooring Components. Offering a full design, supply and installation service from their casting facility based in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire. THE CANDIDATE: We are looking for an experienced Designer / Estimator with a sound knowledge of construction detailing and structural design principles as well as a strong commercial awareness, necessary to undertake pricing in a competitive environment. Ideally you will hold experience of the Pre-Cast industry however this is not essential as product training is on offer. You will need good communication skills to relate to the customer base and your internal team.
