The Head teacher of a Primary School in Oldham is looking for an experienced Primary teacher to start as soon as possible. Ideally you will have previous experience in lower key stage 2; this post will be teaching a mixed Year 4 class with 28 pupils.
Located in the heart of Oldham and relatively close to the town centre, this is an oversubscribed Primary School with around 350 pupils on roll. A higher than average numbers of pupils are eligible for free school meals and the number of children who speak English as an additional language is twice the national average.
The successful candidate will take control of a Year 4 class, with the full support of a teaching assistant and a LSA who works on a 1:1 basis with a statemented pupil. The class are on the whole well behaved and the School have a firm ethos towards organised and well planned lessons to challenge pupils with varying levels of ability. Lesson differentiation is a key factor for this role; you will share planning responsibilities and ideas with the parallel Year 4 teacher who is also the key stage 2 co-ordinator.
Facilities in School are extremely modern; resources include I-Pads and I-Mac computers which are used to engage selected pupils who are at an early stage of their English acquisition.

My Client Secondary School located with the Oldham area is looking for a Science teacher with a Chemistry specialism, to cover maternity cover from September 2013. You will teach Chemistry at both key stage 3 & 4, and take over the form group for a Year 9 class. This is initially a two term role, to cover a maternity leave, however the Head teacher has said it could become permanent for the right candidate.
In recent years and under the new leadership, the School has progressed a great deal. Exam results are continuing to improve, especially in the core subjects. The Head teacher and Governors are confident the recent success will only continue, a Chemistry teacher with a high level of expectations for both staff and students would be ideal for this role.
There are over 1000 pupils in the School, varying in backgrounds and ability levels. The number of students with special educational needs is around the national average, and the number of pupils with English as an additional language is slightly below average.

You will need to have a strong personality and a firm approach towards classroom management, behaviour on the whole is considered to be good and most children enjoy the teaching and learning in this school.
