This involves the use of specialist teaching assistants removing small groups of students from their regular classes to work on areas for development in maths. We will also be making use of Accelerated Maths software to assess, and assist students who may be struggling. GCSE is taught to every student, where appropriate, and they are entered for the exams when we consider them to be ready, usually in year 10 and 11, although some gifted students will sit the GCSE exam in year 9. Areas of study will include: - Number and Algebra - Geometry and Measures - Statistics and Probability - Functional Skills/ Using and Applying Mathematics Clearly all candidates must be either NQT or have Qualified Teacher Status.
